Numerous problems with poor customer service.

Our account usually runs fine as I very rarely need to speak to them but whenever I have I have had issues. We were given incorrect information when being offered a packaged account but because I listened to them and then later changed the account online they are not interested. I also had significant issues with my children accounts as they had copies of my signature in my maiden name and in my married name against the children accounts and wouldn't let us withdraw any money because there were not two signatories. It took months to get this sorted. Reviewed on: 20th November 2016

My first and only bank

This is my first and only bank I've ever been with and they have always been so helpful. I've had my Paypal account hacked into a few years back and they were so quick to help sort it all out and get my money back. Reviewed on: 15th November 2016

Any time that I've had to contact the bank for any reason, the staff in the call centre are always very helpful and knowledgeable. I had some fraudulent activity on my account, but once I called the bank it didn't take long at all for them to rectify the money taken and issue me a new card. Would recommend! Great Complaints management!

I would like to share how happy I am regarding the handling of my complaint via phone, as i feel the person responsible should be commended for her quick thinking, swift action and empathetic approach leading to a successful resolution. I was under a very tight time constraint due to the fact that my pregnant new wife who lives over seas is currently applying for a visa and these particular statements where supporting documents. Unfortunately due to an existing visa, we were unable to apply till now, but our baby is due in September and the visa process take a long time (cannot fly near due date). I was very frustrated initially, due to the incorrect information i was provided and the error made on my original statement order by the telephone customer service team, not to forget the lack of discretion used by the branch staff initially. Thanks to the complaints team, in a mater of 1.5 hrs i had exactly what i needed and i don't feel too bad about the issue because of the supportive guidance to a resolution. Some people make mistakes, but the ones who fix the mistakes are what keeps the world turning. With much appreciation...Thank you Susan Jones. Reviewed on: 7th May 2016

Generally good service

I like Natwest as a bank, however I do have one irk. If you are due to pay a direct debit on a Monday it will come out of your account on a saturday, however if youre due a credit on a Monday it wont go in on a Saturday. A few Saturdays I have been left with no money for the weekend, which with 4 kids is not good. Generally a good service though and they are always helpful when you call. With Live Chat and a customer forum, there is more convenient access to info and problem solving than with banks where you can only ring. That can take up half a day with callbacks, and often results in misleading advice from somone who will guess an answer. (That said, recent responses were so polite and poor, they had the whiff of 'outsourced to Bangalore' about them.) Branch staff are very helpful. Reviewed on: 19th February 2016

Better the devil you know!

I used to hate NatWest. Awful customer service and sky high charges. However, over the past few years they have changed and its a lot less hassle going in and seeing someone who is actually willing to help. Sometimes, it's better the devil you know with banks, so I've been with them nearly 30 years. Reviewed on: 16th February 2016
