Review of the Policy in Practice, Better Off Calculator:

Helped thousands claim millions

5
Policy In Practice - and more so the better off calculator helped us as an organisation put nearly £1m back in residents pockets last year. Without the support of the excellent team and the tool the outcomes for thousands of families would have been so much worse Reviewed on: 23rd May 2024

Website crashes often, have to open another browser to get it working. A lot of the time the results are inaccurate - I understand this is an average, but it often shows results that are hundreds of pounds out. Reviewed on: 18th June 2024

Policy in Practice: Better off Calculator Review

5
Policy in Practice: Better off Calculator is a great tool to use within my working day. It helps strategise my solutions, and confirm with Clients the exact amount of income. Not only this but it is great for highlighting areas of where people can make changes to their income and can result in significant financial gain. One improvement I think could be made would be an integrated council tax band system from when you input the postcode, as oppose to checking the band on the Gov Website. Reviewed on: 18th June 2024

I use the calculator in my role as a welfare benefit advisor. it's an incredibly useful tool that helps to identify what benefits a customer could be eligible for, as well as having links and information to assist in applying for them. I can also send a report to customers to peruse in their own time. Reviewed on: 18th June 2024

Lots of information

I have found it very informative in regards to what a customer is entitled to for benefits. Reviewed on: 18th June 2024
