Useful for many different functions

We have used this for many years when assessing affordability for customer taking on Socially rented tenancies. It is good because it allows customers to select the average amount when they are unsure what their actual tenancy related costs will be. This has made it really simple for customers and also advises them of any benefits they might be missing out on. I now use it for homeless customers for assessing affordability and again, it has been superb for this. I would highly recommend Reviewed on: 3rd June 2025

It was better off calculator that gave a participant the actual monetary benefit he would have if working for a particular hours a day which motivated him to adjust his hours more and invariable was helpful to him and his family. Reviewed on: 3rd June 2025

I have been using the better off calcultaor for a few years now and it really helps my customers look at the value of working and how it will benefit them. event hrough its not 100% correct, i have changed peoples lifes by showing them that even if they work 20hours they still recieved support and they then get the benefits from working with eth support of universal credit.
