i have been trying to get registered with policy and practice through Tower Hamlets council and East End Community foundation for a couple of years, they dont respond, I've not managed to register so I dont know about their website and didn't provide my email to vote for them Reviewed on: 11th August 2026

The calculator is easy to use and would be a good system for anyone who wants to check if they are missing out on extra financial support. It only takes about five minutes to navigate through the clear, straightforward questions. What I like most is the visual scenario tool. It allows you to shift your working hours or income around to see exactly how your Universal Credit or council tax discounts change in real-time. Policy in practice gives the benefit calculation whilst working through with the client, it gives us a realistic idea of what the client could possibly apply for to benefit their situation and possibly maximise their income. It is easy to use and follow, however, due to legislation changes, some things including the child benefit calculation were delayed, however, I can understand this is expected when changes come in.
