Do not use "Post Office" travel insurance take a nettle with you at least when you touch it you will know you have been stung. Mere criminals maskarading as legitimate traders. We all know insurance is a con in most cases, not worth the paper it's written on but never thought such a recognised brand could act so low. Living in a rural area with no public transport or contactable taxi service, our own vehicle our lifeline about to set out 04:15 for flight 07:15 discovering our battery was flat and rushed around for an alternative, try that in a rural area 5am. Long story short missed my flight and paid a rescue fee to Easyjet next available flight, 3 days later obviously missing that period of my holiday also. Having this misfortune remembering my Post Office insurance I saw a very dim light at the end of the tunnel, which was soon extinguished when I reached out to "Post Office" claims call handlers. Twice relaying my predicament they hung up, all stuck in some sweat shop in India, had loose understanding of the English language and even less in the use of the language. Then questioned like a criminal as if I intensionally missed my flight, loosing three days of my holiday!!. Luckily I've had the misfortune of coming across such charlatans before and well versed in the services of the Financial Ombudsman, which I can assure the Post Office is where they are going to be overhauled. Absolute con artists

I have had yearly travel insurance for many years, and have never claimed. I am appalled that the one time that I need assistance, it has still not been resolved after 9 months. It is totally disgusting. Reviewed on: 11th January 2023

Don't buy from them

Put a claim in for medical treatment in the USA. That was in May last year. Now getting no responce. They claim I did not divulge a condition even though their form asked specific questions relating to it and I answered accurately and truthfully which is supported by my doctor. I now have received payment demands from US health care providers as they have not been paid. The stress has caused my health to take a poor turn and no one answers any correspondence. outsourced service completely unresponsive

I submitted a straightforward claim over 3 months ago and have spoken to the call handlers 6 times. they are unfailingly courteous but the system does not allow them to even see what is happening. I have been promised a call back on several occasions but have never been rung back. I have finally complained. No complaints policy but the team will call me back within 40 days! Never again...absolute con artists.

I had a train cancelled at short notice due to strikes so had to completely change my itinerary and pay for extra tickets. Post office travel insurance told me I wasn't covered because I wasn't in the city the train would've been leaving from when it had been cancelled. Why would I travel to a city if I knew beforehand the connecting train I had originally booked from there was cancelled and would never be leaving?? Luckily the difference I paid was only a couple of hundred quid. Some people I've noticed on here are getting swindled out of thousands. It's not the point though. I'm surprised these people are allowed to operate. Absolutely disgusting. AVOID THIS COMPANY LIKE THE PLAGUE. Reviewed on: 5th January 2023

Totally unsatisfactory

I put in a claim 6 months ago and provided full supporting documentation. I am getting nowhere . I now have the hassle of having to go to the financial ombudsman. How can the Post Office associate themselves with such a firm? Reviewed on: 4th January 2023

They have been ignoring my emails

They offered me a quarter of the amount of money I was due. Once I asked for an explanation they sent me a generic response that did not answer my question and proceeded to ignore all of my follow up emails. Reviewed on: 29th December 2022

Absolutely useless not worth the paper its written

Daughter was sick before our holiday at the hotel before our flight ! We rang 999 as we didn’t know what was wrong ! We attended a&e ! She missed her holiday so did my wife I went on with my other daughter! It’s taken almost a year to sort out ! And they are still not paying out ! Make you do all the leg work proof of this proof of that ! Emails to foreign hotels to prove she didn’t stay there ! Etc etc etc ! Avoid at all cost ! Absolute rubbish and you’ll wait 3 months to get an answer for one email. ! Reviewed on: 16th December 2022

Never reply to emails..normally reply "email box full, resend later" Dreadful service..no desire to pay..endless paperwork (eventually)..Just a total joke. Shame there isn't a -5☆!!! Reviewed on: 1st December 2022
