Review of the Post Office, Travel Insurance:

Do not use "Post Office" travel insurance take a net...

1
Do not use "Post Office" travel insurance take a nettle with you at least when you touch it you will know you have been stung. Mere criminals maskarading as legitimate traders. We all know insurance is a con in most cases, not worth the paper it's written on but never thought such a recognised brand could act so low. Living in a rural area with no public transport or contactable taxi service, our own vehicle our lifeline about to set out 04:15 for flight 07:15 discovering our battery was flat and rushed around for an alternative, try that in a rural area 5am. Long story short missed my flight and paid a rescue fee to Easyjet next available flight, 3 days later obviously missing that period of my holiday also. Having this misfortune remembering my Post Office insurance I saw a very dim light at the end of the tunnel, which was soon extinguished when I reached out to "Post Office" claims call handlers. Twice relaying my predicament they hung up, all stuck in some sweat shop in India, had loose understanding of the English language and even less in the use of the language. Then questioned like a criminal as if I intensionally missed my flight, loosing three days of my holiday!!. Luckily I've had the misfortune of coming across such charlatans before and well versed in the services of the Financial Ombudsman, which I can assure the Post Office is where they are going to be overhauled. Frustrating and unprofessional

1
Called post office travel insurance for a quote. The line was very poor so politely explained to the lady and asked could she call me back so i don't have to wait in the queue again she stated she didn't know how to do that so I suggested I will give you my number she agreed and before I got to the second digit she hung up. I called again and it sounded like the same female who answered she took all my medical details my full name then she ended the call. Apsalute disgrace. Reviewed on: 18th July 2022

Shocking customer service

I have tried many times to fill in claims form on line no success I have tried to speak to someone no answer having waited for over half an hour on the phone worst travel insurance company I have ever dealt with god help anyone in a serious situation even after a complaint no response Reviewed on: 14th July 2022

Appauling customer service

1
We bought travel insurance for our holiday and it took 2 months to get a copy of the policy, which excluded my husband's health conditions. Having raised this concern and having waited weeks for a reply, we asked for the policy to be cancelled and asked for a refund. The reply referred us back to the website and said no refund would be paid. There is no way of speaking to anyone about this who is able to help. I will never use the Post Office again. Not impressed

Actually claiming a lot less than originally advised but still having to ring up to chase this. Have been told on one occasion it will be paid in 5 days, the second occasion it would be “dealt with urgently” and the last time, it would be again “dealt with urgently, ring up in a week if you do not hear”. I will be contacting them again tomorrow. When I asked last week if I could speak to someone in charge, I was told that only they could contact them and then only by EMail. Shocking service so far and will not use them again. Reviewed on: 12th June 2022

6 months no progress

Started claim 6 months ago for cancelled flights! Called airlines and post office numerous times, sent numerous emails…. Every time Back to square one asking me to do all the leg work in calling airlines repeatedly (at least 1 hour wait times)…. Called today to chase claim (1hr 45mins, waiting and talking) only to be told nothing had be done and can you send all the documents again! Reviewed on: 7th June 2022

NEVER USE POST OFFICE TRAVEL INSURANCE. Horrible servive.

1
I purchased a policy in feb when i went to jamaica. I kept all records of when i was poorly and as soon as i came back i proceeded with making a claim. To begin with they seng my policy documents to the wrong email address due to them spelling my email wrong. When i asked them to send me the documents again they kept saying due to the policy ending they cant send it ( weird right considering i paid for it and its just an email address change? ). Eventually one guy gave me a number to call where they could send it to me but even then it was the same shit. Gave all my details, said i would receive them its now the end of may and i havent heard anything. Regardless i went on to make the claim by filling out the form, providing all documents and posting it first class to the address provided. I have sent countless of emails to try and figure out whats going on as i am still yet to receive a bloody claim number!!!! Everytime i am told the same BS which is we will get back to you with an update. We are now going into june and i have yet to receive nothing. No update, phone call, apology, compensation, NOTHING. I honestly should have never purchased the policy to begin with and seeing other reviews now it makes sense. Disgusging and shocking behaviour from this company. I would rate -0 stars if i could. Would NEVER RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND OR FAMILY OR EVEN A STRANGER. Stay far aesy from these crooks as i will be taking legal action in which i hope to receive a lot more than what i am claiming for. Appalling level of service

I took travel insurance out through the post office but when I made a claim I haven’t heard back in 6 weeks. When I ring up no one answers and no one returns emails. Post office use another company and to deal with the claims and then take no responsibility and refer you to the company that is not responding. I have wasted so much time on trying to sort this and will never again use post office for travel insurance. Reviewed on: 13th May 2022

Absolute joke

1
absolute joke, don't get your travel insurance from the post office, they use a company called CSA who lie to you, don't call back when promised, fob you off, put you on hold for hrs, cut you off. This has been going on for 6 weeks now. Reviewed on: 19th April 2022

After my son had a serious accident on holiday in Jan we are still waiting on the claim being settled over 2.5 months later, incurring large credit cards fees use to the time it’s taken. Being passed between departments, ridiculous and adding stress to an already stressful situation Reviewed on: 12th April 2022
