Faultless service every time.

Faultless service every time. I love my bank and would never change. It has a modern online banking app and good features. The app is easy to use and simple. The stores are modern and the staff are very helpful Reviewed on: 15th September 2024

The bank that would prefer you never use it

Experience of staff friendliness varies from branch to branch but one thing remains constant. Even if you only visit a branch 2 to 3 times a year like me they will make you feel you are an imposition and "really could bank online or over the phone". There are quite specific reasons I do not do this but they would rather argue and make you feel like you are an imposition for visiting every 4 months or so than welcome you as a long time customer. And now I am actively looking for alternative banks as the new £100 spend limit with RBS is mandatory on current account cards (unless I choose to bank online OBVIOUSLY) whereas other banks recognise that you deserve a choice in the control of your own money and spending limits. Security lapses

For the second time in two years,security cancelled my card with no text or warning of any kind.Replacement card sent to wrong address..Appalling security and pathetic compensation for an elderly,disabled customer,reliant on online shopping.Been with RBS SINCE 1968 but will be changing to another bank asap!! London Branch Availability Needs Urgent Attention.

RBS has almost no London branches so has passed us over to Natwest, whose branches are staffed by about 3 persons irrespective of queue sizes. RBS really do need to rethink their branch availability as many aspects of banking, on their own admission, cannot be done online or over the phone. If you find a Natwest branch, even at the least busiest times you must be prepared to queue for at least 20 minutes. Reviewed on: 14th June 2021

AVOID THIS BANK AT ALL COSTS

I HAD BANKED BOTH PERSONALLY AND IN BUSINESS WITH THIS BANK SINCE 1989, THEY WERE GOOD, THEY JUST GOT WORSE AND WORSE. THEY TOLD ME LAST YEAR THEY DO NOT WANT MY ACCOUNTS ANYMORE, BUT THEY WANT TO KEEP MY MORTGAGE. HAVING NEVER GONE OVERDRAWN WITH THEM EVER, THE NOTICE CAME OUT OF THE BLUE, NO REASON, JUST DO NOT WANT THE ACCOUNTS. THEY NOW DEMAND MONEY THAT WAS REPAID YEARS AGO ON A BUSINESS LOAN, THEY ADMIT THEY HAVE NO EVIDENCE OF THE LOAN, BUT THAT NEVER STOPS THEM, SO I PAID OFF MY MORTGAGE WITH THEM AND STATED I WANTED MY DEEDS FOR MY HOUSE, THEY FIRST SAY THEY HAVE LOST THEM, THEN THEY SAY THEY SENT THEM, THEN THEY JUST REFUSE TO DEAL WITH THE QUESTION, THEY JUST APPOINT SOLICITORS TO TRY TO RECLAIM MONEY THEY SAY I OWE BUT CANNOT PROVE. MY ADVICE TO ANYONE AT ALL, DO NOT EVER TRUST THIS BUNCH OF LIARS, THEY ARE NOT A BANK, MORE LIKE A DICTATORSHIP. I REALLY WISH THE GOVERNMENT HAD NOT BAILED THEM OUT, IT WAS TOTALLY DUE TO THEIR INCOMPETENCE THAT THEY GOT IN THE SITUATION THEY WERE IN, BUT THEY ARE IMMUNE, THEY JUST TREAT YOU LIKE DIRT. I have banked with William Deacons which then became Royal Bank of Scotland for over 50 years. Always there for me and my family, nothing too much trouble.
