Account holders can access RBS’ mobile banking app which has a range of money management features and built-in credit score checker. The Select account is compatible with Apple Pay and Google Pay and has the option for an arranged overdraft.

Mainly Excellent

Really friendly staff and it is generally really easy to set up accounts, especially my savings account. The only problem I ever had was when I changed to a student account and I didn't receive my new debit card, but when I told them they sent it right away. I'd highly recommend this bank to anyone. Flexible, helpful, local

I've banked with RBS since my University 'overdraft' days....that's over 20 years! I've also got an account with Santander, Barclaycard and my husband is with HSBC (who are such a corporate super bank with terrible customer care). Despite me living in Sri Lanka my RBS branch is in a local town in Lancashire. Staff are friendly, helpful, they go the extra mile and make you feel like your custom and satisfaction does really matter. I rarely hear good comments about banks these days, but I am very happy with RBS and I would highly recommend them. Reviewed on: 23rd September 2017

Good current account with premium

CASHFLOW PROBLEM

I RECENTLY HAD A CASH FLOW PROBLEM,AND AT THE TIME,THE BANK WAS MY LAST HOPE.THEY,SORTED THINGS OUT FOR ME,THERE AND THEN,NO HASSLE.VERY HELPFUL AND COURTIOUS SERVICE. Reviewed on: 21st July 2017

Poor rewards

Rbs was good pre banking crash. They now offer the least incentive to bank with them but they do have very good customer service Reviewed on: 30th May 2017

Suppose it's not a bad current account

... but the interest is awful and they fairly consistently change the T&Cs as it suits them. I'd probably feel much better about my bank, where it not for the fact that they technically owe me, as a taxpayer, several tens of thousands of pounds after their bailout. Reviewed on: 4th April 2017
