Banking made easy (And fun)

I have been using Santander's Everyday Current Account for many years now. My online account is very user friendly, and is easy to understand. This is important for budgeting, and keeping tabs on your transactions. There are sections for communication and to download statements. It's good to know they also offer 'paper free' options. Less trees to cut down, is always a good thing. I've seen offers to leave your bank to go to another for financial rewards, but I'm sticking with this one. It's like having a trusty old friend at your side. The only negative I can say is they got rid of email/text alerts to tell you a large sum has been put in your account. These notifications were handy, without having to log in to check. All in all, a good bank. Reviewed on: 30th April 2026

Does everything needed seamlessly and intuitively.

Have held this joint account for several years with no issues at all. Everything has run smoothly, so no need to involve Customer Support. The app works well and the features we need to use regularly all all easy to set up, manage and utilise. The biggest compliment I can pay is that we take it for granted because it just works; nothing has ever caused us headaches or to wish things were different. We trust them with our money. Local branches are shutting.

Have found local branches are shutting. Am aware I mostly do my banking on-line, yet have to now go to Glasgow if I need to speak to a branch member. Reviewed on: 17th April 2026

Easy account switch

I swapped an account to Santander and was really surprised by how easy it was. I had a small issue with my online login details, but when I called, the staff I spoke were friendly and gave me clear instructions on how to resolve it. Reviewed on: 16th April 2026

Straightforward

Really easy to operate the account and link to others. Interest rates could be better, but that's the same everywhere. Branch is great, always busy but sadly closing so I will eventually take my custom to one where I can still go in to for face to face help. Reviewed on: 16th April 2026

I’ve been with Santander for years and years, it was the first account I had when I got my first job and although I’ve never asked them to be anything more than reliable - they have never let me down.
