Appalling customer service

No statements for two months. Rang twice, 20 minutes for someone to answer then transferred and put on hold for further 10 minutes. Unhelpful staff. Avoid like the plague! Reviewed on: 25th July 2018

I've had a terrible experience with sainsbury credit card, numerous problems plus it takes nearly an hour each time to speak to someone. Then they cant do anything, sainsbury said they dont call people back not there policy . Terrible customer services. Hidden charges , difficult to check and pay balance. Within 3 months I closed my sainsbury credit card my choice and use tesco instead now . No problems. Reviewed on: 20th July 2018

No statements for two months

The last statement I received was dated 18 May. Have telephoned numerous times to ask for my June statement but only managed to speak someone twice - after waiting over 30 minutes for someone to answer - and on two occasions the line was disconnected before I could enter my details. The 'customer service' guys had no idea what the problem was and, according to the second guy I spoke to, neither does their IT department! I paid my June balance (to avoid interest charges) even though it was twice what I was expecting assuming that my statement would arrive so that I could check the entries. Now I am told that my July balance is over £1600, again far more than expected. What is the problem and how much longer before it's resolved? Am I the only one not receiving statements? Rude and Pathetic Customer Service

I tried updating my address online. SB Credit card system could not recognise the postcode (as I moved to new build house), it asked me to contact by phone. When I called, they could not process the request and asked me to send bank statement showing 3 months of transactions with new address, I told them I cant provide these statements as I am in the process of home moving and the statements will have old address and recent one will contain the new address. It seems they cant accept this. I spoke to the supervisor and even she could not see the logic regarding bank statements with new address, I have asked her to raise compliant. As soon as I mentioned compliant, she said she will block the card and she blocked the card. She also said the complaint wont be reviewed by anyone and will be closed straightway and Sainsburys does not inform the customer regarding the outcome of the complaint. Even she refused to provide final response for me to escalate to FCA. It seems they don't have any compliant process. I am very surprised how they are handling complaints and how they are managing their business in regulated environment. Reviewed on: 28th June 2018

Absolutely appalling

I am shocked and appalled with the service I am currently receiving from Sainsbury's bank, specifically their credit card department. In 20 years of using other high street banks, I have never had to complain. In 8 months of using Sainsbury's bank I have had to complain three times, make multiple enquiries, had my card cloned and now, since the card cloning, cannot see any transaction history on my account, despite a balance being present. The nectar points that I am supposed to be accruing with regular spending are absent (complaint raised two weeks ago) are still absent as are the 'sorry' points that they were transferring me. The technical team should be shot, naked in the street for the poor excuse of a banking platform, that is impossible to use from a mobile device and for their lack of an app, possibly the only high street bank now not to have one. Frankly, Sainsbury's should stick to peddling eggs and bread and leave banking to the big boys. Absolute, swivel eyed, lazy, inflexible, opaque, fat cat shonkers who should be hung out to dry by the FCA. Reviewed on: 19th August 2017
