thieves and unprofessional

They wasted all my time. i was the one chasing them on everything.They sorted me almost a month later and hiked my insurance more than 60% of which i was not at fault. They said i can add a car to my half gone insurance policy which i pay monthly in the next 28 day, when i did they increased my premium by £700 and said if i don't want to i should cancel and pay the rest on the insurance policy. Don't bother

Been a customer for a year no claims they put my insurance up 20 quid. Said no as they gave me a cheaper quote online saving me nearly £70 so decided to go with my new quote she asked if I had a ccj against me of if I am bankrupt which I have 1 ccj against me they refused to insure me unless I paid the one of payment of over £1000 when I asked if I can go to renew it instead they said no because I already declined. Another customer lost. Now I'm paying more than what I ever have not happy. They don't look after their customers Reviewed on: 2nd January 2018

Very helpful and quick

I had an accident last week and backed into a parked car. Completely my fault, going very slowly, no one hurt, but I damaged some woman's car. Tesco have been excellent, taking care of it all, dealing with the other insurer. The guy on the call (Neil) could not have been more helpful and polite. Always the cheapest and Clubcard points too!

Avoid

My insurance was cancelled for not supplying evidence of my no claims bonus, despite the fact that I had emailed this to them prior to the provided deadline. Upon contacting them as soon as I was notified of the cancellation I was told that my sent email was not evidence and that they could not reverse the cancellation. I was also told that I would lose the full cost of breakdown cover which I took out with them. After speaking to a manager and lodging a complaint they agreed to reimburse me for the cost of the breakdown. However, this did not resolve the fact that I was left uninsured so unable to drive my car home, and I now need to declare that I have had insurance cancelled for any future insurance policies. The entire process was ridiculous. I am only grateful that I didn't have to make a claim through them, because I can only imagine how incompetent their handling of a claim would be. I can honestly say that this was the worst service I have ever experienced. They refused to accept responsibility of their error and I have been the one who has paid. The only recommendation I would make about Tesco Car Insurance is to avoid them at all costs. Reviewed on: 22nd November 2017

Not helpful towards the most vulnerable

People who pay monthly do so because they have other obligations with their money. If you decide to leave Tesco then they want Σ95 for fees and cancellation, which isnŠ—Èt realistic for the people that just donŠ—Èt have the money and weŠ—Ère not helpful, now in this scenario I feel trapped into an over priced policy just to avoid an extortionate fee. Rip off renewal

You get a good first year quote but BEWARE when it comes to renewal you will get a 50% increase! and then have to go through the hassle of changing. I'm a middle aged jag driver with 10 years no claims or points and they put £450 on my quote. Sign of a poor company. DON'T BUY. Reviewed on: 5th October 2017
