Excellent car insurance

From the moment I contacted Tesco insurance about the theft of my car, I was treated like a valued customer. The claim process was very easy. Communication was good throughout and text messages updating me about any messages. I was also able to submit any evidence plus various paperwork via a text link. Within 3 working days of submitting my claim, I received a text message saying I had an offer. The offer was very fair and actually more than I was expecting to be offered. Payment took one week to come through but apparently this was because the settlement amount was over £20k so had to go through manager approvals. Overall I’m very happy with the outcome to what was a terrible situation- no one wants to have their car stolen. Totally recommend Tesco and so grateful to them for the way in which they handled my claim. Reviewed on: 31st July 2024

The worst claims process ever, customer service is non existent, still no sign of my car being fixed after 10 days and won’t give you a courtesy car until they’ve got yours in the garage. Use direct line, might be more expensive but the service is super quick Reviewed on: 23rd July 2024

Disgusting shocking call centre useless

Disgusting. Customer Service zero. When call the call centre no managers or supervisors available. Will ring you back no one does. Errors and conflicting information given by every operative. Car insurance automatic renewal DONT they do not carry forwards all previous details. Absolutely shocking service. Reviewed on: 2nd July 2024

Avoid at all costs

Absolutely heartbroken over my vehicle and the way my case has been handled. Still had the good grace to send a thank you card because I’m good natured but stabbed me in the back in the end. I don’t recommend. Disparities. Inconsistencies. Intel shocking. Very stressful experience and the end result wasn’t great either. Very unprofessional behaviour became apparent after the claim. Really poor claims handling.

Really poor claims handling. Bungled my non-fault claim from beginning to end. Had to constantly contact for updates and repeat my story each time. Claim wasn't logged correctly initially meaning repairs weren't arranged promptly and was without courtesy car. Then they arranged for and sent for collection of my car whilst I was on holiday despite me specifically telling them the dates I was away meaning I had to to deal with yet more calls whilst on holiday!! Asked to log a complaint officially, which I did over the phone but this was never acknowledged nor any further action taken. And now my renewal is due, and the premium is nearly 50% higher. Cannot wait to take my business elsewhere frankly. Reviewed on: 11th June 2024
