Unreliable Service from Tide Business Bank I strongly advise against relying on Tide Business Bank: Our business account was inexplicably put on hold at a critical time when we needed to pay salaries and receive payments. Despite our urgent attempts to contact their support team through calls and messages over three days, we received no response. The stress and frustration of not being able to fulfill financial obligations were overwhelming. Eventually, we discovered that the account hold was due to a routine check to confirm the nature of our business and the legitimacy of our payments – information we had already provided during account setup. This lapse in their internal processes caused significant disruption and could have been easily avoided. Their poor handling and lack of communication put our business at serious risk. I do not recommend Tide Business Bank for small businesses. The inability to access funds for several days can severely impact your operations and damage your business reputation. Tried accessing my bank app to try and get my pin re...

Tried accessing my bank app to try and get my pin reminder and yet again the bank messes up and kicks me out of the app and have to re-register yet again. Requested 3 calls backs already today and funnily enough nobody will call back. No matter what you try, they will do things in their own time regardless of them being at fault for this. Genuinely, avoid this bank as communication is so poor from this company and the willingness to actively help is non-existent. Even now, 2 hours on and still nothing resolved by them to actually fix things... Reviewed on: 12th July 2024

Tide have deactivated my account

Tide have deactivated my account without reason or warning, with hundreds of thousands of pounds in it. I've had to get a lawyer involved (at an additional cost). Stay away from Tide unless you want to lose all your money. Reviewed on: 7th May 2024

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME TIDE HAS CLOSED MY ACCOUNT F...

THIS IS THE SECOND TIME TIDE HAS CLOSED MY ACCOUNT FOR ABSOLUTLY NOTHING, I HAVE SUPPLIERS THAT NEED PAYING AND ALSO STAFF WAGES. THIS IS CRITICAL WHEN BUISNESS BANKING, this company does not understand that they are no help in the chats and even less help oink email or phone. one day internet banking will be sufficient however at this point in time I regret my decision to use tide all together, my advice for people that are going to give tide a go, just don't do your research more than i did and don't take the risk of ''its only a few bad reviews'' if this happens to you you'll also have 6 staff members asking why they haven't been payed for the month and all walk out of work for something tide has done, time will tell but this has destroyed my business. bank has now been closed for over 6 days. no incoming or outgoing money can be got from the account. DO NOT USE TIDE BANK

Tide have unlinked my bank account from my app and I have no way of logging in. My bank acc has a healthy positive balance and I can't access it. Their chat is overloaded (which you can only access through app) and emails are not being responded to. Reviewed on: 11th March 2024

This is the worst bank ever.

This is the worst bank ever. We are a small buisness and opened an account a year ago. We work on a contractual basis so as and when we get a client we can deliver our services to. After a year of building our network and word of mouth, we secured our first client and got paid! Excited to get things moving and using the money to get us on visible platforms , we attempted to transfer the funds to one of the named directors of the company.( which they are aware of as I had to list the directors to open the acount) so questioning who the person was when I had to provide proof before opening the account is wild. That will be the beginning of our nightmare, payment was blocked and card suspended. It’s been 2 weeks going back and forth with what appears to be an automated ineffective and scripted customer service. Asking repeated questions of the same things. Asking for proof of transactions , frequency of use with tide (like you can’t see that from your backend), and even to the extent of showing chat conversations with clients ?!!!! I have never , in my 29 years on earth known a bank to ask for chats especially when I haven’t committed or crime or in an investigation. There is absolutely no reason for intrusive , interrogating questions on transactions that small. Claiming they are asking to abide my FCA guidelines. Top banks HSBC BARCLAYS NATIONWIDE , don’t go to those lengths to be intrusive to their customers transactions especially when we’ve given them no reason to. I’ve provided proof of registration , service agreements and invoices. Now they are asking for chats ??? It’s like they are stalling and not trying to fix the situation but making you go round in circles. I have reported the case to FCA. At this junction my business is beginning to suffer and so is my mental wellbeing all in the name of claiming my legitimate money. IF YOU LOVE YOURSELF, STAY AWAY FROM THIS BANK. Left me and children hungry and business closed

I am a small business owner and mother to 7 children, tide has paused my account for no reason, will not call me, the replies by the chat are copy and pasted scripts. Made a complaint which was upheld however still waiting for them to unpause my account. They have left me and my young children without access to money and unable to trade. Very very poor service!
