Review of the TSB, Classic Plus Account:

Simple to set up and 5 % interest

This is a great account that was easy to set up online - it offers 5% interest as long as you pay in £500 a month and this doesn't have to include your salary. You don't need to set up any bills with it so you can keep your other current accounts for this if you prefer. The staff were friendly and helpful when I phoned up for help whilst trying to set up a standing order and overall I have had a very good experience with them so far. Reviewed on: 28th March 2016

high interest great customer service

One of the better accounts

The account is good, it allows me to accrue a decent rate of interest on current account financing up to 2k and I typically earn the full £5 cash back on my monthly contactless/Apple Pay transactions; I think this return is considerably better than what other current account providers offer. However, my issue with TSB is telephone customer service, I never feel confident that the agent I'm speaking with really knows the detail of certain aspects of the account, including paym transacting, interest accrual and regular saver account services too. The app could be more flexible in terms of adding new payees and viewing better transaction summaries etc, these options are only available online. Overall though, this account offers decent returns and I'm unlikely to move to another provider on this basis. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

Good in-credit account.

Had a lot of calls lately about my account. They are constantly blocking my ability to purchase online due to my spending and investing habits. I received a phone call from an unknown number in Elgin which I missed. A text which I replied to stating Yes the activity was made by myself followed by a home phone call 3 days later. Whilst happy with the interest rates and extre security I am getting annoyed by these blocking actions. In the summer I had to travel into the nearest branch (as none where I live) following a transfer of a large amount to another bank's online saver I opened. With the interest rate dropping in January I am considering switching to a branch within my town. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

Current Account with Cashback & Interest

I've found the TSB Current Plus account to be a great addition to my finances - with interest on cash balances upto £2000 plus cashback from contactless debit card spend - it's a little bit extra every month for otherwise offering the same day to day banking benefits of other current accounts. from setting up the account to needing any help, TSB have a wonderful team who are very helpful. They are an honest company, emailing you any details about changes to your account, including changes to any benefits. The app is easy to use and so is online banking in general. The benefits are great, especially with contactless payment cashback. The switch service was also timely, I was kept very well updated, and everything works well. Reviewed on: 1st December 2016

It really does have cash back

I like the account because it allowed me to go paperless, which is what i wanted. Also i surprised to receive a cash back this month which was nice. overall a good account. Reviewed on: 29th June 2016
