Good reimbursements....appalling customer service

I have been. Very happy with the amounts they have eventually paid out. Unfortunately their customer service team is appalling. If you ring with a query, they can't access your claims, or the latest information relating to them. Poorly trained staff don't have the answers to your queries and , if pushed for an answer, will lie, rather than admitting they don't know. If you ask to speak to a supervisor, your request is always denied. If you miss their name at the beginning of the call, they refuse to repeat it and won't commit to getting back to you. You are constantly referred to an email address to escalate queries, but your emails are unlikely to get a reply. My actual policy is with Tower ( powered by Allianz). If, in desperation you contact Tower, they refuse to assist. As previously stated, eventual payout amounts are good, but getting to that stage is a nightmare and I dread having to contact them. Will only pay half

Pretty poor experience with payment. Very quick to take money each year. Caution for any animal getting older, 35% deduction. So our dog recently passed away, after all the deductions the insurance claim they paid amounted to less than 50% of the cost of the treatments. They have a baseline that they'll pay, but don't state what the fees are in our case hospitalisation - 67.96% paid fluid treatment - 68.28% paid fluid maintenance - 55.06% paid deductions for the age, so after paying premiums for 10 years, I would say you're better off to not have pet insurance to cover illness. Six pets and always have to wait months for review of claims

We have a large pet family, all of whom have been insured with Allianz since they were small. They are all healthy pets hut over the years have had a couple of claims. Each one has taken over 5 months to review which is unbelievably frustrating and disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend Allianz for let insurance and will look for a new insurer for new policies Reviewed on: 3rd October 2022

Declined coverage for tests etc.. when our dog was sick and threw up because "his records state he's thrown up before, so it's an existing condition."

Dogs throw up when they are sick... it's not a pre-existing condition. On the search for a different insurance, because I doubt our dog will ever be ill and <not> throw up, which apparently would make us ineligible for coverage. Easy claims process

Our dog was hit by a car, we took him straight to the vet wo done a wonderful job at fixing his leg. Allianz made the experience less stressful by the way they promptly handled the claim Reviewed on: 12th September 2016
