Ok but concerned due to policy changes

I've registered my pug with Animal Friends since he was 4 months old. He had a nasty ear infection which was caused by nothing other than water getting into his ear however they won't cover him for any issues with his ears for the rest of his life. Shame. Reviewed on: 7th April 2017

I have been with Animal Friends for the last 5 years and in this time have had 2 pets need emergency surgery. I have found their customer advisors to be extremely helpful and compassionate and have had no problems claiming on my insurance. The fees are fantastic and they offer super peace of mind. No quibble service

We have a very active cocker spaniel and twice in the last year have had to submit claims for his crashing through undergrowth injuries. Both times the claim was processed without a problem. Reviewed on: 27th August 2016

Animal Friends offers competitive rates and good customer service. I would only like to feedback that they could provide more information as to the options available. We went for the minimum as things get very confusing when it comes to insurance and, unfortunately, we ended up paying £1,500 for our cat to have an operation that wasn't covered on the insurance. my vets do not accept their insurance! so i would have to pay, and then claim back from them. they barely cover any conditions and they put my premiums up after a year, even though i never claimed. would not recommend. Reviewed on: 22nd July 2016

Cannot read or update their systems correctly. Now in debt because of their poor communication skills!

Experience of making a claim has been appalling. They seem incapable of reading and understanding basic English. From incorrectly updating my records from my initial claim form to failing to notice details that may have invalidated my claim. They have given me information that has led me to continue with treatment but are now refusing to continue with the clsim, without money I do not have. Don't touch them with a very long barge pole.
