Shocking customer service helpline

Haven't even started my policy with Aviva but simply wanted to ask a question about my upcoming policy. Automated customer service experience was appalling. Was unable to get through to anyone. Sort it out Reviewed on: 16th August 2023

Great overall product for a great price

While Aviva isn't the cheapest, I think it is the best value for it's price point when you take into consideration what it's cover offers, as well as it's multi car discount. Reviewed on: 15th August 2023

Zero rating

Aviva Zero insurance is utter rubbish not very helpful when a claim is made even if it was not your fault! Would not recommend have had to do all the leg work myself regarding the claim no one in hand their 'chat' help is very unhelpful. Regardless of the cheap price not worth the policy when claim is made. Beware that they only offer a three door small hatch back as a courtesy car not a like for like as would expect if we're to make a claim. Even after advising that I have a family they were still adamant that they would not be 'upgrading' to a 4door or 5 door hatch back even after sending an email to the CEO the response was still the same. They took 5 days from the claim to respond which is appalling in any sense and their lack of empathy is disgusting. You have been warned Aviva Zero defacto utter sh**!! Reviewed on: 8th August 2023

Aviva Zero means ZERO claims and ZERO customer service

The company is a complete disaster. I have now had a claim outstanding for four months which this company still hasn't been able to fulfil. You cannot get hold of anybody - if you're very lucky and it's your birthday they reply within a couple of days but if you want another reply it takes at least another 24 hours. Great app available

So with the Aviva car insurance, we were prompted to get the app. Not really done this before for previous instances? The app is great if I want to make any changes to my insurance policy I do it myself through the app and it makes all the adjustments instantly either reducing my monthly payment or increasing? I have used this for various things like changing vehicles, adding business use. Great little app easy to use with less hassle of having to ring to make any changes. Reviewed on: 28th July 2023

Diabolical

I had the misfortune to be insured with Aviva Zero. What should have been straightforward claim, has escalated into a nightmare , because of their incompetence. I waited 6 days without a car, just to receive a generic e- mail. It asked me to resubmit information that was sent on day 1. You can’t speak to anyone at this company - all on line apparently. You will spent hours on hold, desperately trying to speak to a human . The live chat service will keep you on hold for 1/2 a hour , then cut you off so you have to start again .When , eventually you do get through, , you will be told that they can’t do anything to help you and you need to wait for the claims team to contact you. I wasn’t contacted by a claims handler for 2 weeks after the accident. and that was via e- mail. After 15 days, no Courtney car, no hire car. My car hasn’t even been booked in for repair. . I called a number on the bottom of the e- mail he sent me- . It was for the injury department though, . so I kept having to re quote my claims reference and be put through. They wouldn’t give me the direct number. They wouldn’t let me speak to the supervisor, I had to go through him. I was told her would call me back- he didn’t.. Even when I did manage to speak to him and told him that Ii needed Aviva to authorize i the hire car , he didn’t. I kept calling to be told he was busy and would call me back he didn’t- this happened 3 times.. if I had free car insurance for the rest of my life with this company , I would decline it. It’s not worth the paper it’s written on. How they are still in business is beyond me.. I wouldn’t recommend them to my worst enemy. Reviewed on: 13th July 2023
