We’ve produced twice-yearly Mortgage Lender Benchmark reports since 2018, analysing the mortgage lending landscape via broker testimonial. Although the most current findings are in the most recent report, all previous research and data is available so you can track developments over a given time, or analyse a specific year.
H2 2023 report
Overall broker satisfaction slightly decreased by 0.5%, as lenders largely coped with further rate rises. Released 29 November 2023.
H1 2023 report
Overall broker satisfaction increased by 4%, as lenders bounced back after the fall-out from the September 2022 ‘mini-budget’. Released 22 June 2023.
H2 2022 report
Overall broker satisfaction decreased 1.9% as lenders struggled to cope with rising interest rates and the 'mini-budget' turbulence. Released 7 December 2022.
H1 2022 report
Broker satisfaction remained level, and the results suggested the market was preparing to respond to the cost of living crisis. Released 20 June 2022.
H2 2021 report
Broker satisfaction increased 1%, but hadn't recovered to the pre-pandemic level from early 2020. Released 9 December 2021.
H1 2021 report
Broker satisfaction increased 2.5%, but hadn't recovered to the pre-pandemic level from early 2020. Released 10 June 2021.
H2 2020 report
Broker satisfaction declined 4.9%, with brokers becoming dissatisfied with lender performance in reaction to Covid-19. Released 4 December 2020.
H1 2020 report
Broker satisfaction increased by 1.6%, with product transfer ratings notably up 3%.. Released 8 June 2020.
H2 2019 report
Broker satisfaction decreased by 0.5%, with only two lenders receiving overall ratings over 90%. Released 4 December 2019.
H1 2019 report
Broker satisfaction dipped by 0.4%, but eight lenders received overall ratings over 90%. Released 5 June 2019.
H2 2018 report
Broker satisfaction stood at 82%, with speed, online portal, criteria, underwriting and customer service dominating feedback. Released 3 December 2018.
