Review of the Esure, Car Insurance:

AVOID AVOID AVOID!

Had a drunk driver crash into my parked car outside my house on 20th August. After an initial phone call all that happened was the offer of a courtesy car. I really didn't want to lose my car to write off so really wanted to wait and see what their damage assessment would be etc before being locked into a claim with them. Fast forward 4 weeks and absolutely zero contact from them. Finally after writing a bad review on Trustpilot they got in contact. Had taken my car to a local place for assessment of damage which I have shared with them. Two weeks later and just more radio silence from them. Utterly useless - how they are a "service" I have no idea. Will NEVER insure with eSure or other companies owned by them again even if it's the cheapest option. AVOID AVOID AVOID! Told a cheque was being sent to my finance company twice now. Waste of time being past to different people in Africa. The claim was badly managed from the start and just keeps dragging on. Reviewed on: 12th September 2023

You need to avoid this company. No backup whatsoever. Had a slight tap in my car. No damage caused but recorded as a self fault which will impact on future insurance. Absolute garbage. Never use again. Reviewed on: 8th September 2023

Terrible customer service

1
They don’t answer phone calls or respond to emails. Wasted hours of my life. Been on hold now today for 45 minutes. That’s 3 hours of my life so far I won’t get back. Don’t bother with them! Reviewed on: 8th September 2023

Terrible customer service

Don’t understand why they hire anyone that can’t speak proper English makes it very hard to communicate! Not helpful at all with renewal they just tell you to go online without offering any advice Reviewed on: 4th September 2023

Huge price increase - very disappointing

2
This year's quote for my car was 61% higher than my payment last year. When I phoned up to question, I was told this was due to the increase in repairs and insurance costs... in just one year? They offered a reduction of 8 % - but obviously time to look for a different provider Reviewed on: 25th August 2023

Horrible service

1
Every time I try to contact esure claim team to speak with them the waiting time is at least 1h30min the last time after 1h50 minutes of waiting they just ended my call.... Not recommend at all... Reviewed on: 24th August 2023

Poor avoid at all costs

Do not insure your car here. You will regret it. Customer service is a disgrace when you do eventually get through you cant hear them as they are either struggling to speak English or you have 10 people in the background laughing and joking. They dont update your details and fail the payment multiple times so in the end they tell you that you have to pay in full when it was them who did'nt update your details. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Customer service awful

I had a crash last year & I had good service from Esure that time.. Early this year I was stationary when my car was hit by a third party. Since then I've waited for my car to be repaired but someone at Esure has closed my claim; no one seems to know who or why. I wrote to the CEO & had no reply so will now have to contact the Financial Ombudsman. I've learnt the lesson that the cheapest isn't the best! Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

Very helpful

I have had to ring Esure a few times, and several years ago I had to make a claim through them. At all times they were incredibly helpful and made stuff very easy. Price was very reasonable when compared to others also. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

Renewal over 100% increase

1
Whilst i understand there are inflation costs and expected an inflation rise i was stunned for my insurance to go from £350 per year to £710 for renewal (no claims or licence endorsements. Like for like change) Called to see if could be reduced and the offered me £10 reduction even though i stated that there are multiple company's offering the same insurance for around £350-£400.. I have been with them for 7 years and never made a claim. So much for wanting to retain a loyal customer!! Shocking to say the least Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023
