Support to a nomadic lifestyle

I’ve lived quite a nomadic life over the past 40 years, living and working primarily in SE Asia and Europe. Banking was always problematic until First Direct appeared on the scene. It was the first bank that gave me the support I desired. Its customer service and security has been second to none. I still use this bank as my primary current account in the UK but combine its excellent facilities with Revolut to add an extra layer of security whilst travelling. Reviewed on: 26th February 2025

Great Current Account, great service and no issues.

In well over 10 years with first direct I have never had any issues with their 1st Account (a current account). It comes with free borrowing up to £250 - very useful - as well as the option of a Regular Saver Account into which you can save between £25 and £300 per month for a year and it pays an unbeatable 7% Interest.
