I was dubious changing from a High Street Branch Bank to an Online only bank account therefore, I did the switch with trepidation. However, I am so pleased I made the move as my current account with First Direct is very easy to manage online as their Website and App are very easy to use. I've been banking with First Direct for around 26 years. Over that time I have never been tempted by the cash offers for switching banks. That's purely because of the incredible service I receive from First Direct. Every contact results in a positive experience. Any issues are dealt with quickly and responsibly. Fantastic service right from the beginning!

Right from the start, First Direct have helped me in many situations. I can remember the first experience was that I had just joined them back in 1993 ( so they didn’t know me or how I handled my account) but the Midland bank had failed to transfer our account from them properly and I happened to be in Cornwall on holiday.I rang them from a phone box on Bodmin Moor to ask why there were no funds in my account?They explained that the account had not been transferred as it should have been, but they would allow me to withdraw money the very next morning at 11 a.m for my holiday provisions. As promised, this did happen, and I will never forget the relief of being able to enjoy our family holiday. I haven’t looked back since, and I would never move my main account from them. After nearly 20 years First Direct have never failed to surpass my expectations. From a mortgage, current accounts and savings account the service and terms have been exceptional.
