First Direct - the best bank ever

First Direct provides outstanding customer service through their telephone banking service. Staff are friendly, highly competent and helpful. There are no lengthy waits on the phone, responses are immediate. Online services are also excellent. No other bank could compete with this 1st class service Reviewed on: 23rd January 2026

First direct customer service is flawless f.

First direct customer service is flawless. Whenever I call there is no waiting queue, I am speaking to someone in seconds. They also offer free £250 overdraft and now 0% non-sterling transactions. First class banking merchants excelling in customer...

First class banking merchants excelling in customer service, both online and on the phone. All backed up by a professional, easy to navigate website and app. Offers value for money Savings rates (7% regular saver) and basically free Foreign currency transactions. Plus the app offers all the banking services that I require. Their consultant colleagues are very knowledgeable on the phone, very polite and deal expertly with technical, IT related matters. Couldn’t recommend First Direct highly enough

I have been with First Direct for a good few years now and also recommended them to my husband and both daughters. Their customer service is second to none and you can get hold of them and speak to actual people within a few minutes. They have always been so very helpful to me and more so when my card was cloned and used for large amounts. They also provided someone to go through security tips and things to watch out for.
