I recommend you DO NOT touch this company I cancelled my policy as my car was sold on, the cancellation was actually an extremely simple process with nothing I could see online suggesting hidden costs for cancelling - however this is where things took a turn for the worst - 16 days later they finally confirmed the policy was cancelled I then receive a letter to advise I owed £130 with no explanation as to what this charge was for. I then emailed to ask what the charge was for before I made the payment. As any normal person would in this situation This was at the start of September - 2 weeks later I am yet to hear back from them explaining what the charge is for. In the meantime, they sent this “charge” to a collections agency they work with called the ICB, as a scaremonger tactic to force me to pay - Unfortunately this worked as I was afraid this would affect my credit score. I have paid this fee now to which I have NO idea what its in relation too - and I am yet to receive an explanation for this fee. I am STILL waiting in Goskippy to actually email me back…. Be aware

The worst company ever. They will let you insure Online with them . After word they will start asking you for other documents that you can’t provide. Also they will Keep searching to find one excuse to cancel your policy after they charge you the admin fees and full month install. Be Aware. Reviewed on: 16th January 2020

Avoid

I would have rated them lower if I could. I tried to update the reg. plate on my vehicle (no other changes) via the online site and I was direct to call the customer service team. I was then told this change would be £69 (despite having done this change previously on other cars with other companies on the phone and on the website for free). On querying the excessive fee I was then told this could be done for £40, I paid the £40 for £50 to be taken from my account! In querying this the company stated the fee is £50 and have checked the recording (which makes it may word against theirs as they are unable to release the recording). Avoiding at all costs, much better paying the extra insurance premium for a trustworthy company who care about their clients. Reviewed on: 14th January 2020

STAY AWAY!!!

After 23 years of driving I’ve never had to deal with such a DEMANDING and incompetent insurance company! Then to top it off after trying to make a payment over the phone my bank blocked my card because to cut costs goskippy use Nigerian call centres! I’m now getting inundated with scam phone calls and emails and stuck waiting for a new bank card! Then there’s the the demands, so far I’ve been asked for photos of- Full driving licence No claims discount Full Log book Proof of address Proof of earnings Proof of employment Proof of employment qualifications Photo of the cars vin number Photo of front of the car Photo of back of the car And god knows what else Oh and I must not forget to tell you about their inability to open email attachments in full resolution, I sent my licence and ncd over a dozen times. I honestly feel like I’ve been scammed! It’s like they are trying to get me to cancel my insurance with them so they can charge me massively overpriced cancellation charges! So stay away for god sake! My next step will be asking for a refund, which I really don’t expect to get because I really do suspect goskippy is nothing but a scam! Reviewed on: 7th January 2020

Putting life at damages with void insurance no joke

putting my life and 3 child and partner who was pregnant at risk If you have insurance please check that you are covered as they put my life my 3 young child under the age of 7 and my partner and unborn child life at risk by giving me a void insurance 1) telling me to put my sister car that I use as spouse coz there system don’t allow you to put as sibling Found out after my accident that not only they told me to do that I find out that they do not even cover people driving any one car if you are not the registered keeper in less you are married to the registered keep them tryed to blame me well ones they listen to the record they had to pay out for the car as they admitted to me that the underwriter was at fault now I’m sueing them I had 3-4 of the advisor telling me that go skippy are at fault and offered me £30 compensation now one advisor said they have changed there minds don’t think I’m going to have that do you after you already admitted liability I asked if they are having a laugh after putting us all at risk I then emailed liz the CEO of go skippy and the IRDA and trading standards still waiting for the underwriter to email me with the out come Reviewed on: 15th October 2019

Terrible experience from start to finish!

avoid avoid and avoid this company! Taking out the car insurance Policy was like a security check for joining MI5.... this constituted 12 days of emails back and forth and a very time consuming unneeded procedure. trying to get a response to my renewal quote which was obscene was replied explaining that they were very busy and it may take 7 days to respond to my request!!! I requested callbacks which were arranged and never received.... the policy was automatically renewed and I did not receive any paperwork via email or post and my recent attempt to cancel the policy was hard work to say the least ... only to be told I had to pay a £75 cancellation fee which was deemed ‘reasonable.’ Be prepared to be robbed of your time and money with this company. Awful experience AVOID

In 35 years of driving I have never come across such an awful company to insure the car with ,took out a policy for my son with myself as a named driver ,I had an sp30 which was over 3 yrs old and wasn't on my licence any more ,I had totally forgot about it ,they ask you to go on the Gov website and get a code so they can verify your driving history, this old sp30 showed up and they wanted an extra148 pound because of it ,this is a RIP off as when this came to light I phoned my own insurance company to inform them .my policy for myself fully comprehensive on a brand new car was only 160 for the year ,they told me there was no difference in the cost at all ,so that proves go skippy are just ripping people off .I cancelled the policy with them due to their customer service advisor not giving me the full info ,which apparently was my fault for not knowing all their terms and conditions which their own employee did not know .it cost me 177 pound on fees for having insurance with them for 21 days .steer clear Reviewed on: 4th June 2019

Rip off Merchants.

Please don`t fall into the trap cheapest is the best quote, lot`s of fee`s. * Annoyingly rang six times in a row for renewal quote. *Charged an admin fee to take out renewal quote over the phone of £20 plus another £40 extra in comparison to the online quote. *The online quote was adjusted to the phone quote after the conversation ended. *Rude,pushy customer service advisor and couldn`t understand what she was saying. *Minor mistake on my document resulted in an extra (made up figure) of £91.89 plus a £50 admin fee. *Waited 20mins for an advisor to answer, when they did they didn`t want to resolve any problems just take my money. Why did I go with them? I had a trouble free year with them the first time and they were still the best quote online. Would I use them again? No I wouldn`t. Every time you ring them the quotes go up and they charge £20 admin fee if you take out a phone quote. If you cancel your policy they charge so much fees that you might aswell just let the policy run. Also these are not a 24hr operation and when you call takes 20 mins for an answer.
