GREAT BANK

I HAVE BANKED WITH THE HALIFAX FOR OVER 30 YEARS WITH NO PROBLEMS. THE STAFF AT THE BRANCH I GO TO ARE SO PATIENT, FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL. THE HALIFAX APP ON MY APPLE TABLET IS REALLY GOOD AND I CAN PAY IN CHEQUES USING THE APP WHICH SAVES ME THE BOTHER OF GOING TO A BRANCH. THE WEBSITE IS EASY TO LOG ON AND NAVIGATE. Supportive with rewards

Halifax offer a straightforward experience with rewards at a time when other bank accounts don't have much to offer. It is relatively easy to get through to a UK call centre if needed, although most things can be accomplished online. The call centre staff are supportive, offering extra time and care if you have identified health needs such as anxiety. The account offers £5 per month for exceeding a certain account balance or spending a certain amount on the debit card. There is also cashback for spending at certain retailers. Downsides are that interest rates aren't high, that you have to remember to activate the cashback each month rather than it being automatic, and the amounts needed to earn £5 per month are quite high. A very good bank

Fantastic would recommend

We have the ultimate current account and the benefits are amazing. I can't tell you how many times I've been saved by their breakdown cover, it's saved me a small fortune. And if you have over £5k in your account you get put into a prize draw. Reviewed on: 5th January 2022

Great bank!

Halifax is Appalling

My debit card was blocked. Phoned 4 days in a row. Kept holding on for a total of 8 hours with no reply. That’s 8 hours wasted of my life for NOTHING. All l heard was a recorded message saying they are helping other customers. What a joke-what customers, really l find that difficult to believe. When l eventually spoke to Peter in personal banking who arrogantly said to me ‘l can’t help you what do you expect me to do’. He then put the phone down on me. I still can’t not use my debit card and am now moving banks. Reviewed on: 23rd December 2021
