Halifax - the good, the and the algorithm.

Halifax offer different types of current account and each comes with certain benefits and facilities or lack of these. It can be difficult getting through to someone on the phone to discuss the account. To discuss business issues is very challenging. There appears to be little capacity for staff to make independent decisions about accounts as eligibility for services appears to be determined by a central office algorithm. Halifax - would highly recommend

I have been with Halifax for 26 years, they have had good customer service and resolve most issues promptly. Unfortunately, they have closed my nearest branches. I don't think this in the best interests of the customers. Reviewed on: 25th March 2026
