    Hit from behind yet Halifax deem me to be liable

    I was hit by a trucks trailer as he passed inside me at a roundabout, he fled the scene. Luckily we took his reg number... Luckily we took his reg number and have clear dashcam evidence that he encroached into my lane and the collision is audible. I reported the accident to Halifax and the police. Unfortunately the other vehicle reg number is not is not clearly legible in the video and therefore the other parties insurers will not accept liability. Halifax tell me that therefore they consider me to be liable and have loaded my policy by an extra £400 despite the fact that I am not claiming as I have repaired the damage myself.
