Hit from behind yet Halifax deem me to be liable

I was hit by a trucks trailer as he passed inside me at a roundabout, he fled the scene. Luckily we took his reg number and have clear dashcam evidence that he encroached into my lane and the collision is audible. I reported the accident to Halifax and the police. Unfortunately the other vehicle reg number is not is not clearly legible in the video and therefore the other parties insurers will not accept liability. Halifax tell me that therefore they consider me to be liable and have loaded my policy by an extra £400 despite the fact that I am not claiming as I have repaired the damage myself. Halifax is xcellent value. The bank who give xtra !

Halifax car insurance was very easy to purchase and I like the reassurance of being covered by a bank I trust. I also feel that the coverage of the policy is more comprehensive when compared with other providers. Halifax also offered me the best price out of all the providers I was quoted by. All in one place!

It was great to see a reputable company like Halifax in a comparison site for buying car insurance. This allowed me to get cashback when buying. I was even more pleased that when buying the product, I could easily add this to my app with other Halifax products so I can see all Halifax products in one place.
