Won't honour a no fault incident

1
Happy to take your money but when you notify them and a court backs you they don't want to know. They would accept I wasn't at fault. Reviewed on: 28th December 2022

Cancel your insurance for no reason other than their own imcompetency

1
Absolute nightmare so far. Joined halifax after them coming out most competitive on comparethemarket.com… After joining i was asked to provide my 3 yrs NCB which i did and had confirmation back that this was accepted. 3 weeks later i get a letter stating they want a range of different photos of driving licenses, utility bills and other documentation of which i have never been requested to do by any other provider before. Only for jobs have i had to provide so much information. I then called in and was told by a foreign call centre my insurance is being cancelled in 4 days of failed proof of NCB?! Now having to call tomorrow when im supposed to be working to sort this mess out. Seems like their departments dont communicate and should maybe stick to banking. Could of potentially been driving around uninsured with children. Reviewed on: 18th December 2022

Not Halifax just a front !

1
Some 3 weeks after a no fault rear end bump I am still waiting for an estimate and repair. Process very confusing and not actually dealing with the Halifax but Enterprise Car Hire and an on line Claim Management Company App.....plus being hounded to make personal injury claim by Minster Law - Halifax are nowhere to be seen in this process. A switch is coming at renewal ! Reviewed on: 2nd September 2022

Terrible Service

1
Contacted Halifax to change my car. Informed my insurer wouldn’t insure my new car. Charged £30 to cancel my policy, despite only having 1 month left and owing £14. Tries to dispute charge but after 2 calls of over 2 hours gave up. Avoid would be my advice! Reviewed on: 11th August 2022

Shocking. Avoid.

1
Someone drove in to the side of me and wrote my car off. She admitted liability to her insurance so should have been straight forward but this has been the worst experience ever. Constantly being told conflicting information. Having to chase people myself as not hearing back from anyone. 4 weeks later and still not sorted. Literally no-one has a clue what is going on. My renewal was cheaper than anything on the comparison sites so I renewed for a second year. This includes everything I need including legal cover. Reviewed on: 20th July 2022

Worst experience

I used Halifax because I felt the deal was good with a good name…. … it’s not Halifax it’s a third party… and as they say insurance is only as good until you claim… bad experience and I will not use them again ever!!! Reviewed on: 31st March 2022

Avoid

1
Absolutely shocked that my insurance isn’t actually with Halifax just a broker.I registered my claim with Halifax great right?wrong no one told me I had to then do the same thing again but with my actual insurer, wich caused a delay and I’ve had no car for a week now.Had to beg and borrow a car. Also if you think your car gets smashed you get a courtesy car right away you don’t.Once the repair starts on your car you get a car so be prepared to not have a car.Avoid might aswell cut out the useless middle man.
