Very bad experience with this Halifax Car Insurance !!!!

I wanted to change my existing car insurer which was a nasty rip-off in terms of increasing the policy premium every year whether there were claims or not ( like most ( if not all ) of the insurance companies ) and I saw myself falling into the net of other thieves named Halifax , who cancelled my policy after two weeks because I missed to declare claims which were not settled and I didn't know I had to. However they could have asked me about it before taking such a drastic decision which will affect me badly in the future and all these only because a misunderstanding as long as this these "rip-offs" make the procedures more and more complicated. Even after I explained to them and they agreed that it was not an attempt of misleading them but just a lack in procedures they still didn't want to make my situation milder. So, in order to continue with them they said they need to recalculate the quote and ended up asking me 5 times higher price than the initial premium ! Shame on them, bunch of "legalized" thieves !!! Fantastic Service.

I took out my policy in February, via a comparison site because it was the best deal. Two weeks ago, whilst parked my vehicle was hit by a motorhome. I was offered a hire car straight away whilst my car was repaired, the repairs carried out by Hewitt's of Stourbridge were first class. Hewitt's even delivered my vehicle back to work and took the hire car away. Rare these days to find such excellent service. Well done. Reviewed on: 13th May 2018

Unfair Terms and Conditions

I recently changed my address which involved updating my car insurance. when i updated they restarted the policy, rather than carrying on the year to build up my no claims...very unfair Reviewed on: 15th November 2017

Great deal for a great lot!

I used a comparison site as I often do to find the best insurance deals and Halifax came out on top. I've not had to use my insurance but I did call their customer service department to check they had everything they needed off me document wise. I got through really quickly and spoke to a lovely young man. Reviewed on: 1st October 2017

I have been banking with Halifax for 15 years with excellent customer service always received, so I thought I would have a look at the other products they offered and came across car insurance. Not only was the deal competitive but has been nothing but plain sailing from the start, in fact I didn't even use comparison sites this year as I usually do and just auto renewed for the first time ever!
