The risk of making early monthly repayments

I once repaid my monthly repayment early and it caused much confusion resulting in me being deemed to have missed a regiment. Even having contacted customer service and having them confirm I had not missed a payment the app still showed that there was a problem with my payment the month in question and could not apparently be changed!!!
