Super banking

I moved to Halifax simply for the £100 switch offer but since I have been impressed with the banking, it is easy to access and easy to talk to someone if you need to. They were really helpful when a company stole money from me and wouldn't return it, they were accessible, polite and considerate. I also have a savings account, credit card and had car insurance with them, they are a company I trust. The only thing negative is the interest rates, but that is what is negative about all banking with any banks! Reviewed on: 12th February 2016

Removed my overdraft for no reason and not communicated

They took my agreed overdraft off me with no reasoning, no communication nothing. Just noticed one day on my statements it had gone down by £900 not even a small amount. As this was an agreed overdraft what would have happened if I had gone into it without knowing! Bad show! Reviewed on: 5th February 2016

The staff are in a league of their own

The staff in my branch are always so attentive friendly. They're a crazy bunch, always smiling and happy to have a laugh with you. It actually makes me enjoy the experience of paying my bills!!! top marks from me. Reviewed on: 7th January 2016

Good straight forward account with no complications

Needed a 2nd account to help sort outr some switching issues, Halifax current account set up and working in just a couple of days and I was able to resolve all my issues. No frills and no charges as long as you keep in the black! Reviewed on: 24th December 2015

Having left one job for another I decided to sort out my banking situation which I felt was not offering me the best value for my money. Moving to Halifax gained me a substantial transfer cash back package, free mobile and travel insurance and is far easier than my previous bank to contact and speak to someone personally if the need arises. Brilliant Customer Service!

I've held a current account with Halifax for approximately 10 years and in that time the only problems I have had were my card getting swallowed by an ATM and some attempted fraudulent activity on my account. A quick phonecall to Halifax sorted both problems promptly. The phone was always answered promptly and the customer service advisers were always friendly and a pleasure to talk to and on both counts everything was sorted within 10 minutes (replacement cards both times) and my replacement cards arrived within 3 working days. Above all, I am very pleased with what Halifax offers me as a customer and I have found their customer service second to none. Reviewed on: 24th December 2015
