What do they cover

My mum passed away last October and I inherited a ring. This week while doing housework I noticed I had lost the central ruby ( I had seen it in the ring earlier in the day). I’m not covered for jewellery outside of my home but thought I was at home. Apparently it’s not lost just misplaced and if by chance it’s gone down the sink, drains are outside the home so I’m not covered. This experience leaves me scared of what might happen if something major happened, for example if there was a fire would a claim be declined because I had matches in the house , this should sound ridiculous but now I’m not so sure Reviewed on: 12th February 2022

quick easy set up over the phone for home insurance

Brilliant customer service and all my queries answered in one quick phonecall - Now have peace of mind of safe home contents and valuables when im away! Took a burglary for me to do it at last but nothing better than peace of mind! Reviewed on: 11th November 2015

Great Value Joint Buildings & Contents Insurance

Just been online comparing prices for the above. Halifax offering both with £50 cashback and extra 10% discount as I bank online. Able to pay monthly at exact price for annual payment. Very informative and helpful

Me and my husband went for an appointment to renew our mortgage and while we were there we arranged home insurance with them.....We got a discount on the price due to having bank accounts with them....The advisor was very helpful and answered all questions we put to her . The product itself is excellent we have the top of the range product with unlimited cover and accidental damage cover. All for less than £20 p/m. Recently took out Buildings & Contents insurance online. Form was easy to complete and there was no charge for monthly direct debit.

My Buildings and Contents insurance was due for renewal recently, so I went online and found that Halifax were offering the cheapest price and also they were paying £50 cash back. I was also able to pay by monthly Direct Debit at no extra cost. The cash back was paid into my account very soon afterwards. So all in all a very easy transaction. Reviewed on: 10th August 2015

Straight forward
