Been with them a long time BUT will be leaving asap.

Been with them a long time. Premium well over £1000 a year. Previous claims always dealt with speedily but something is going very wrong at the moment. You cannot call them. Their nominated handling company cannot answer any questions. A very small accidental damage claim has so far taken seven weeks NOT to sort. I will be moving companies next year. Rip off

My policy cost £624 annually!! I could have saved myself the grief and expense by changing to another insurer with far higher, four star ratings. For some reason I was loyal to this company for years!! Yet never on the very few occassions I needed assistance were they " able " to help me. Their policies are a very expensive rip off, and you get no help when you need it most, when you are at your wits end. I don't think five stars given are genuine. Not consistent with the majority of peoples' experiences here. A lot of excuses are made by Halifax to get out of paying for even emergency repairs. It's easy to switch insurers, which is what I did today. No more money down the drain! Very happy! Reviewed on: 21st November 2023

Fixed the problem with little fuss

From start to finish I have nothing but praise for the electrician called Cameron...I have 3very loud dogs and he kept calm and resolved the issue. It was a relief coz I'd already had 2other engineers and they were faffing about for ages but didn't fix my lighting... and that was after I'd paid £250 call out charge. I hadn't even realised that I was covered on my rewards account from the Halifax. But I would definitely recommend anyone to get cover with the Halifax Reviewed on: 16th October 2023

Worst insurance ever

Have a premium home insurance, have a sealing leaking in living room about 1 month, can't use that room soon sealing will collaps, carpet are destroyed Reviewed on: 12th October 2023

Good value.

Very good price with excellent cover, including higher value items. I would give full scores if I had experienced their claims, although I'd prefer not to, but if I need to make a claim, I expect full excellent service and resolution. Reviewed on: 23rd August 2023

Decent prices and handle claims really well

The test of an insurance company for me is how they handle claims and respond to queries. Halifax have been excellent and prices are pretty good too. Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

Horrible company,waste of money

The claim was being dealt with slowly.They then closed down my claim because they couldn't reach me on the phone once. They obviously didn't keep track on what was going on. I've tried to restart the claim twice. An automated answer phone told me to only start a claim on the phone,if I'm a vulnerable person. Otherwise I should use the online application form. I did, so far it has been ignored. They obviously do whatever they want to. I'll have to fix the damage myself. Reviewed on: 5th June 2023
