Review of the HSBC Kinetic, Business Account:

Account opening welcome document requires £15

I recently opened a business account with HSBC kinetic. I could see my account number and sort code on the mobile application, but there is no PDF document or welcome pack showing my account details. Since the account was just opened, there was no statement available. I wanted the account details in a document format so that it could be uploaded to my payment partner website. When I chatted with the customer care, I was told there is no document available as kinetic is mobile banking only and asked me for £15 to confirm my bank account details. Kinetic Service Appeal

Does everything I need it to do!

In love with the in-app experience, customer service and overall ease of use.

In love with the in-app experience, customer service and overall ease of use. The app is very user friendly which I appreciate. There isn't a transaction fee like some business banks do which is fair and ethical in my opinion. Over £10k transfer limit and believe it or not; some business banks do have a cap and HSBC is trustworthy and experienced enough to raise this substantially. The customer service is brilliant, always quick and professional to answer my questions. Monthly letter updates is old fashioned but very handy, when a lot is going on - it's just not the same to keep referring to pdf's online and having to download them. Lots of good things and not a single bad that I can think of. Brilliant bank, will highly recommend them to anyone looking to open a business account. Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

HSBC make rules as they go along

HSBC seem to make up rules as they go along if they don’t they don’t share changes to business accounts and you only find out when you fall foul of them. They then just say you should have known! Reviewed on: 9th March 2023

As a banking problem arose, HSBC Kinetic was there to solve it.

As a business owner I am used to unpredictable changes that require quick, efficient resolutions, it's part of the job. But when I took on a business partner and had to change the way I paid myself I effectively needed to set up a new company - for both legal and tax reasons. After a bit of time online, much underwhelmed by what was on offer, I found HSBC Kinetic, and quite simply, my problems were resolved.
