i am a HSBC customer and wanted to open an kinetic a...

i am a HSBC customer and wanted to open an kinetic account for newly started business, i have started the process on 27th November 2023, and the app keep failing to process to step 3, once i put my personal data, the app says (oops, we are having some technical issues, please try again etc,) tried a whole month to open, ang i gave up, started to chat online and they told me to go to my local branch and they will open a business account for me, took my phone and the branch said they never seen a error message like that, and gave me a number to call the kinetic team, rang them, it was woman who was on the phone, she said she couldnt understand why this is happening and said she will ask one of the kinetic technical people to give me ring and guide me with this, more than 10days, (dont think this technical people exist ) and i tried again, (my first name is Muthuthanthrige, i have removed E on the end used Muthuthanthrig and the app start work, so finally uploaded all the documents and received a messeage saying, i must use the name as appeared on my ID, great, i rang them to let them know what happend, im sure u can guess the answer from them, yes. "we will ask one of the technical people to call you" lol still waiting Reviewed on: 15th January 2024

Very disappointed.

Our account has been blocked without any reason. We didn't get any information what was happening. We had booked payments for our suppliers and we couldn't make any payments. I not recommend this account to any business. Make us big trouble........ Reviewed on: 12th October 2023

Not multi user friendly

For use by one person only, unable to allow office to use due to the sessions timing out and needing to log on frequently with a code sent to my mobile - if i'm out of the office and they need access it's terrible. Especially when they need to do the books! Reviewed on: 6th June 2023

If you need an account which offers multi-user access for your team to do the books HSBC has a range of business current accounts which would be more suitable for your needs, they also offer app and desktop banking, you can find out more details at business.hsbc.uk. Very efficient and convenient business account

I've been using this account for my small business for about 7 months now and I am very pleased, the app is great, everything is smooth and clear. The incentive to open the account was a very welcome thing too. Reviewed on: 1st June 2023

Account opening welcome document requires £15

I recently opened a business account with HSBC kinetic. I could see my account number and sort code on the mobile application, but there is no PDF document or welcome pack showing my account details. Since the account was just opened, there was no statement available. I wanted the account details in a document format so that it could be uploaded to my payment partner website. When I chatted with the customer care, I was told there is no document available as kinetic is mobile banking only and asked me for £15 to confirm my bank account details.
