i am a HSBC customer and wanted to open an kinetic account for newly started business, i have started the process on 27th November 2023, and the app keep failing to process to step 3, once i put my personal data, the app says (oops, we are having some technical issues, please try again etc,) tried a whole month to open, ang i gave up, started to chat online and they told me to go to my local branch and they will open a business account for me, took my phone and the branch said they never seen a error message like that, and gave me a number to call the kinetic team, rang them, it was woman who was on the phone, she said she couldnt understand why this is happening and said she will ask one of the kinetic technical people to give me ring and guide me with this, more than 10days, (dont think this technical people exist ) and i tried again, (my first name is Muthuthanthrige, i have removed E on the end used Muthuthanthrig and the app start work, so finally uploaded all the documents and received a messeage saying, i must use the name as appeared on my ID, great, i rang them to let them know what happend, im sure u can guess the answer from them, yes. "we will ask one of the technical people to call you" lol still waiting Reviewed on: 15th January 2024

Great account for a small business

I was already with HSBC as a personal customer, so when I started a small business last year I included them in the mix of options. Happy I did - it's turned out to be a really great account. Simple, low fees and pretty much no nasty surprises. Only two suggestions really on how to improve.. enable international payments from the app + allow the Kinetic Credit Card transactions to flow into Xero as the bank account does. Really bad customer service, bouncing each other from phone to app chat and vica versa

Easy to set up, easy to use!

Really simple and quick process to set the account up. The App is very user friendly too. Moving money is easy and having a savings account to earn interest on surplus balances alongside the current account really helps too. We’ll done HSBC! Reviewed on: 7th March 2023

Quality, simple and efficient service

It was really simple to open their business account, their executive called immediately and helped us through the process. HSBC Kinetic made life easy

I had a stressful time when leaving my previous directorship to set up my own limited company due to difficult personal circumstances. There was so much to get sorted in a very short timescale. I have had bad experiences with other business banks in the past and was concerned the process would be protracted and cause delays in my ability to start trading quickly. I couldn't have been more wrong. Setting up the account was super easy and quick. I have been trading 3-months now and have been extremely happy with my HSBC Kinetic account. Having started my own business last year, I feared the complexity of having to get a business account. HSBC Kinetic is extremely user-friendly and provides a seamless functionality to keep on top of business accounts. Would recommend it to anyone who is starting up their own venture.
