Review of the Jaja Finance, Credit Card:

What a let down

1
Really dissapointed to find my card being closed down but this is what you expect these days. I was thinking about signing up to ASDA but thet are Jaja so they won't be getting my custom Reviewed on: 1st April 2023

How is this company allowed to operate ?

1
I too had a smooth working P.O. credit card account until JaJa took over. Their website is poorly designed and lacks functionality. So I phoned JaJa to get more information on recent transactions - they then put me through security questions provided by a third party company - that information was long out of date, so I failed the test. They then blocked my card and requested verified copies of my passport and driving licence, which I sent without delay. That was 6 weeks ago. Today I was told that they have received my documents but their head office was late in verifying them. The operator offered to raise a complaint which I did. This will take 8-10 weeks to be decided on. It gives me time to look for a normal credit card company. I cannot understand how this company is allowed to operate. Absolute shambles. Beyond disgraceful

1
Made two payments approximately 1350 each. One didn’t show as gone through on app so I made again. To check I looked at my bank app & noticed both had been taken. I immediately called and was advised that one payment was reversed so all ok. Three days later both payments taken from my bank. Called again, waiting 30 mins on hold to be told by a female who sounded half asleep and as enthusiastic as a slug to call another number. This time I waited 40 mins & was cut off. I was furious... I felt after reading all the available reviews that my money was not safe and had no alternative to use the card quickly to use up the £1350 balance... something I didn’t want to do and has left me financially squeezed... I’m disgusted and astonished that what is supposed to be a highly regulated industry behaves in such a sloppy inefficient and almost criminal fashion. I consider the regulatory authorities a waste of time and subjected to lip service by crooks like these.. they also seem unfit for purpose... DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES CONSIDER USING JAJA FOR ANYTHING OTHER THAN PROMOTING STRESS & ANXIETY Reviewed on: 11th December 2020

Move to a Company that cares about it's Customers

1
For anyone having problems contacting them call: 0333 016 4072 (direct number for their complaints tema) If the Jaja experience of making things smarter and simpler to do business is not cancel your account when they confirm, not to inform the Credit Agencies your account is closed and then not provide any level of customer or try to resolve the problems they cause then this is the new simple. Why this company has a credit licence, VISA allows them to issue cards with their brand and the regulators see them as a fit organisation to operate in the UK is beyond me. Dont touch with a barge pole!

1
I am fed up ringing their number trying to cancel this account transferred from the PO. There is no way to contact them other than their CS number, which you spend ages on. Nothing ever comes of it just the same old nonsense. Banking Ombudsman is my next call. Reviewed on: 9th December 2020

Worst experience ever !!!

1
Former post office account holder taken over by JAJA, should read HAHA as this company is a complete joke. Paid £116 9 days before due date via the app, and get a £12 late payment fee on the due date. 45 minute phone call and jaja have no record of the payment, it’s ‘lost’ somewhere. Poor customer service and incompetent infrastructure. Financial Ombudsman informed. Reviewed on: 8th December 2020

Customer Services promise action but nothing ever happens

1
All I wanted was an additional card for a family member. I started the process in August and by December, after four calls to Customer Services, I still don't have it. None of their promises can be relied on; nothing they say ever happens. I have now closed my account, and it took a very long phone call to do that! Reviewed on: 8th December 2020

HOPELESS - how customer unfriendly can you get?

1
How can Bank of Ireland sell its Credit Card customer portfolio to nincompoops like this. As a happy customer for many years, I can’t wait to get rid. No e-Mail contact, no customer service to speak of plus random blocking of cards for little or no reason. I have spent hours waiting on the phone and a complaint to Financial Conduct Authority will be forthcoming. Reviewed on: 3rd December 2020

This company is a very bad joke !!

1
This company is a very bad joke. My wife and I were transferred to JaJa in October from Post Office Money, where we had been customers for several years without any problems. We are both in our 70's and because of the pandemic have been staying at home since March. To cope we set up a regular on-line grocery shop with a fixed delivery slot. Until the JaJa card arrived this had worked well. This week when my wife entered the order a prompt came up wanting to send a verification code - to either an email address or a mobile number. The app would NOT let us enter either of these - so no code which means no groceries this week !! Two calls to customer service (Saturday and Sunday). Reached the same person both times, who promised that he had resolved the issue - he hadn't. I asked for (demanded) that the call be escalated and that someone who knew what they were doing should call me back. There has been no call. A 3rd call from us today has finally managed to sort this problem but too late for us to order food etc. I guess we will now have to risk going to the supermarket, something we have successfully managed to avoid for almost 9 months. Tomorrow I plan to apply for a new card from a different provider, at which point we will stop using this useless item from Jaja. At the end of December they will send me a bill - and possibly one in January for a residual balance, after which we will hopefully have nothing more to do with them. Warn all your friends and family !! Avoid these clowns. Reviewed on: 1st December 2020
