Review of the Laka, Cycle Insurance:

They will take your money and dismiss claims

I was with laka for years, at some point I decided to pause my policy because I wasn't cycling and thought my bicycle was safe enough in my building. the same week I paused it it got stolen. Since I was still insured as that month was gonna be paid for I went on the website to resume my policy and obviously started a claim. They discharged me to another company called Zurich which then arranged a video call with me to basically get all the facts as laka found it suspicious. They tried to claim that I was not insured but if I still paid two months of cover after that pause so the entire time I was covered. then Zurich said they are still waiting for police to confirm my report. It has been about 6 months! I am seriously considering making a complain to ombudsman as this is not ethical at all and I feel robbed after paying my insurance for so long and then being dismissed like this. Quick, helpful and back on 2 wheels in no time

Laka best for me so far

Yellow jersey awful experience. Lost money on trying to get a new bike sorted with them after crash and took months. Crashed racing with laka and sorted me out in 3 days. Reviewed on: 6th September 2023

Very friendly and stress free

Has me Covered for any eventualities!

Best insurance out there

I had my ebike stolen in a violent attack 11months ago, only 2 month after I started my insurance with Laka. They were very efficient and super kind and I got everything replaced swiftly and also got some funds for osteopath treatment for my injuries. Would never change. Reviewed on: 4th September 2023
