OK

Thought about switching but not sure if it's worth it...Lloyds aren't bad...not great either. Overdraft is good feature, but £25 doesn't go too far Reviewed on: 4th October 2014

Very good service

Very good service, easy to create account, app works well, pairs well with Apple Pay, good card designs, some documents could do with a little changing to make it more accessible for people .customer service is pretty good, most branch workers are very helpful and friendly. Terrible Banking Experience and Poor Service

Lloyds Bank has been the worst banking experience I've ever had. Their customer service is extremely slow, and when a merchant charged me over £100 in a fraudulent direct debit that I never subscribed to, they failed to warn me and refused to refund the money. Later, without any notice or explanation, my account was suddenly closed, leaving me unable to pay my university fees on time. When I tried to resolve the issue, I was kept on hold for over an hour with no response, and even when I visited a branch, they claimed they had no information. As a student, this was devastating, as I missed an exam due to unpaid fees. Despite requesting a letter to explain the situation to my university, they refused to provide one. It took over two weeks to receive my cheque, even though they initially said it would take only seven days. Their app is also poorly developed, with delayed notifications sometimes arriving nearly a day late. This entire experience has severely impacted my academic life, and I have yet to receive any explanation regarding the closure of my account. Lloyds Bank’s Classic Account offers reliable banking with easy online and mobile access. Customer service is generally good, though wait times can be long. The app is user-friendly, but some features could be improved. Decent for everyday banking, but fees and policies could be more competitive. Overall, a solid choice. Reviewed on: 9th March 2025

Online banking poor, great TV ad’s

Awhile ago their online facilities wouldn’t work had to use another account with a different bank, I understand in the news again their online platform isn’t working again. Yet if you watch their television advert, they’re always blowing their own trumpet with about 20 horses running about showing how great they are but unfortunately they are a bit different in reality. And yet there’s this Almighty push to go digital, forget cash that’s old money, but cash is handy when the digital doesn’t work which is often. Reviewed on: 28th February 2025
