Great support with financial difficulties

Gentleman on the phone was incredibly helpful, suggesting lowering fees etc to help me in a time of difficulty. They made an error regarding increasing my loan and they sent me £100 to make up for the difficulties i had whilst waiting for the funds. ...

Great app - makes this a super account

Ok, so they had a software glitch, every bank seems to. But the app here is the stunning feature, linking my ISA and Savings accounts, making transfers abd swift payments a breeze. Branch netwirk is stiill one of the most extensive and a daily charge...

Ok, so they had a software glitch, every bank seems to. But the app here is the stunning feature, linking my ISA and Savings accounts, making transfers abd swift payments a breeze. Branch netwirk is stiill one of the most extensive and a daily charge for overdraft is clear and means I only pay when I really need it. A well-considered and thoughtful product: I am very content with it.

Overall no complaints

Overall no complaints. The staff are very friendly and make the effort to know their customers by name. Our branch remains open but with reduced opening hours. These are manageable but hopefully their will be no further cutbacks.

After nearly 30 years I'm leaving. Deeply disappointed.

After nearly 30 years I'm leaving. I'm fed up of calling call centre staff with sarcastic and rude attitudes. They are are either so overworked that they can't be pleasant or just enjoy being rude. Quite frankly I'm not quite sure where they get off...

After nearly 30 years I'm leaving. I'm fed up of calling call centre staff with sarcastic and rude attitudes. They are are either so overworked that they can't be pleasant or just enjoy being rude. Quite frankly I'm not quite sure where they get off talking to people like the do. I have never ever been in debt on my account and I've stupidly struggled along with them having very limited in our city because they shut their branches. Online is ok but telephone banking is really shoddy. I currently can't get at my money because of some problem they've got with their system for over a week now. They are condescending and rude when you talk to them and offer no way of resolving the problem. So I am left unable to access my money and apparently that's fine. I'd have liked to put no stars because really is this work of a normal functional bank? It's sad that after such a long time with them, the only course of action that is left to me is to switch banks. What can I say if you're looking for friendly and can do attitude, this is definitely not the bank for you. I don't think their staff give a toss about the problems the cause. I wouldn't care but they've got my money and not the other way round!!

Easy and Simple

Always straight forward to deal with the bank, online services cover almost everything you need to do and when having to deal with the bank in person or on the phone, still and simple and pleasant experience
