ok,but don't go overdrawn

I was a customer of Lloyds for over 40 years but changed about a year ago.Very rarely,if ever,did I go overdrawn on this account,but I did on this occasion as an amount on my debit card went through for £200 instead of £20,thus making me overdrawn..Anyway I was charged a FEE + interest and no amount of trying would make them change their minds. I will never bank with Lloyds again. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

Wanted contactless

Went into my local branch to ask about changing my card to a contactless one, I was told that technically as my card was not up for renewal that they couldn't issue a new one. Instead, the advisor was able to raise a new one by going through various different screens resulting in me having a contactless card. They were more than helpful at the branch and I can't fault them. Reviewed on: 24th December 2016

Bank as a whole

Lloyds bank has been my bank since 2009 and Im happy to say that it's the best bank in the U.K. Not only do they have friendly and supportive staff on the phone and in branch but even check your balance or transferring money through the banking online is easy, safe and secure. Problems every step of the way

As I am an Australian on a working holiday visa I was limited in my options of banks who would allow me access to a UK bank account but I was recommended Lloyds as they just need proof of residence. Besides the lovely customer service I received on each occasion, each and every step I have taken with lloyds has been an issue. I went to apply in branch but they told me to apply online, errors with online form created issues, they didn't copy the appropriate identification the first visit after my online application even though I provided it all, told me I should have applied in branch to have made it smoother and quicker, average 40min wait in line to speak with cashier, I have received my PIN in the mail but am still yet to receive my bank card since opening account 6 weeks ago. Couldn't be more disappointed!! Wish I never opened my account with lloyds. Reviewed on: 9th December 2016

Absolute Rubbish

Lloyds Bank breached Data Protection on several occasions and would not admit it until they were reported to the ICO and the beaches were confirmed! Rude staff and constant marketing regardless of unsubscribing. Reviewed on: 3rd December 2016

I have never had any problems with my account. I find it easy to use, never had any mistakes and when I have dealt with phone banking they are polite, efficient and courteous . Online banking is straightforward and easy to use. I always recommend Lloyds as I go by experience and not hearsay..... Reviewed on: 26th November 2016

Straight-forward service

When I joined the bank I found them helpful and straight-forward. I can set up alerts for my funds going below a certain level, and I get a weekly text to let me know my balance. I like the online banking system, and have since opened further accounts easily and they are all shown in one place. Overall a satisfactory experience. Reviewed on: 24th November 2016

Strange bank

I went to the bank to put some money into the account, the bank had no customers inside it was empty. I walked to the cashier and asked I want to put money in my account here the account details and that's amount I would like to put in I was told to fill up deposit form with envelope put in the deposit through a hatch it i walked away thinking that's really wired I have hand written reciept by me and it's not stamped by the cashier and I don't know if the money in my account very strange if I need change banks Reviewed on: 18th November 2016

Discuss the Lloyds Platinum Added Benefits £17 month account. Advised that as I already have AA cover until June 2017 (they won't cancel mid term / pro-rata, shame on them) and Annual Travel Insurance via work, best buy separate Mobile Phone cover on the Internet. Reviewed on: 18th November 2016
