Banked with Nat West for 51 years, had Business accounts , Foundations Mortgage, just turned down for a Club/Society account with no explanation. The days of customer service are gone, I've had Personal Business managers, etc, now just an account number, cannot speak to anyone who knows anything or can do anything. Might move to Barclays who have aggress to open an account.

I have been a Natwest customer for the past 18 years and they continually improve their services, are very helpful and are not pushy with their products. I would highly recommend the banking app as well as the online banking. Every time I need to call them I get through within a minute or two and they are always knowledgable and friendly.

I started banking with the national Westminster when I was 16. At 67 I am still with them, they treat me like a number, not a human being and personal service has long gone!

Good benefits especially foreign travel insurance, poor savings interest.

You get rewards, more so when you access your mobile app, and the benefits can be excellent. £20/month is the cost, that’s £240 a year but you get about £40 back. You get GreenFlag roadside assistance, it’s limited to 3callouts a year but that’s acceptable and covers all cars in the household, we have 2. Then Travel Insurance, both my wife and I are over 70so have to pay a supplement of £75 each so that’s £150 But it covers you for more than you would have thought. I’m 84, my wife 78, both had cancer, I’ve had AF but no extra premiums, excellent cover fo4 very small cost.
Used to have a reasonable regular savings account but they have reduced the interest too much.

I main bank with NatWest I have accounts elsewhere but navigation of the app is far better than any other bank

I've always been with Natwest and they always dealt with all my questions and all my requirements with a lot of professionalism. I really recommend them.

The Green Flag cover with this account is fantastic. They came out to me ever so quickly and kept me informed. Love the fact I an rewarded for having direct debits and also for logging into the mobile app once a month. The app is great as I can get cash when I have left my card somewhere and I can even lock it so nobody else can use it until I find it.

When using the NatWest app I always feel like my details and money are secure. I feel like the app is built for people like me and I enjoy the illustrations and images throughout the app that bring the whole thing to life.

VERY SHADY AND UNTRUSTWORTHY BANK

After banking with NatWest for over 5 years, I've recently had my account closed down overnight without doing anything wrong or given any explanation, only that they consider that i have broken their terms and conditions which i haven't. All my funds have been withheld and are being withheld by the bank for up to 60 days. After carefully reading the bank's terms and conditions, i am 110% sure i have not broken any, definitely NOT committed any fraud (reason why bank can withhold funds for up to 60 days). After being told that my account was closed by going in branch and speaking with the account closure team a couple of times. I find out today that my account is still active and receives funds although i have no access to it or to any funds on it. I've asked for my bank statements up until the account closure so i know the exact amount i'm supposed to get back as all my salary and any kind of funds are stuck there, today after speaking with the Account closure team, i find out that i only have around 600£ out of 3183£ but why i ask, the answer being that its maybe related to the to the personal loan i have taken out and the credit card money i owe , mentioning that i have paid money in my credit card account and last time i've spoken to the closure team i have been instructed to arrange a standing order just a few days before the normal paying date on my new bank account(with another bank) to pay back the money i owe in instalments as i did until now. The bank has taken the liberty of paying off the loan and credit card apparently out of my funds without my consent and without me knowing. I cant believe this has happened and i don't see how this can be legal, it is my money and the decision to close down my account was not mine and i have not done anything wrong. I dont understand how an institution so big can commit such acts and take money from me without my consent. For anyone reading, please do not open an account with this SHADY BANK!!!!

Overall i been with Natwest for over 12 years. The are a solid bank when their system are up and running but i have twice now issues with their systems crashing. They are delaying payment, and i mean they delay for over a week. They can say it takes about a week a transition to clear but for me living the instant life of today, is hard to find tour balance. If you are taking my money just take them instantly. Another issue and for me is the biggest is the overdraft. I do use overdraft quite sometimes throughout the month and i always paying it back, but when the fca says you need to make a thinks right and charge all equally you don't hype the cost to over 30%. Its almost similar to a payday loan.

Truly wonderful package

Have used so many things from my bank account. I love the way the mobile app also links into the Platinum member pages so I can always find what I need. The Green Flag cover is fantastic.

The Reward Platinum account is a great account that gives me money back for y everyday spending but, better, just for having direct debits set up to utility companies - and I get much more back per month than I have to pay for the account.

But, even better, is the Mobile App that not only allows me to see my Reward balance but provides all the day to day services that I need to manage this accounts and my other NatWest products. I've used Apps from other Banks and this one is by far the best.
