Travel Insurance included is Worthless

Do not take this current account for the travel insurance because it’s provided by Aviva who treat customers like dirt. The policy is worthless and the staff are trained not to pay out . I trusted TSB to provide a good travel insurance product for the large monthly fee but when I complained they said it’s not their problem.I lost £4000 because Aviva did not pay out. Beware ! Not very good bank

1
1. Poorly trained staff/advisors. 2. Over complicated simple procedures such as updating phone number or address when other banks allow same updates on banking apps quickly and easily done. 3. Over an hour waiting time to costumer service. 4. Online applications and “chat to us” functions on the appt do not work - you can try again and again different days, weeks or even months- they just come up as as “sorry we are updating this service, please try later”. 5. If you wish to submit a complaint- you will be advised to go online and use services that don’t work- to complain that they not working- very clever. So obvious why TSB is not one of UK’s leading banks. Reviewed on: 21st April 2023

A bank to trust

I have been with them since 2014 and never let me down. Whether it was about overdraft, personal loans or anything else, I always got the best service from TSB Reviewed on: 10th March 2023

Not cheap but comes with a lot of addons I've used it when my phone was stolen and thanks to having a police report, TSB quickly forwarded the cost of the phone. I have other c/a's with banks but this is my go-to. Reviewed on: 13th January 2022

Going downhill

I've been with Lloyds, which became Lloyds TSB, and now TSB, for almost 30 years. For almost all of that time, they were pretty good - great service, and the Platinum account was pretty good value when it first came out. I'm now finally getting round to downgrading my Platinum account to a free one. I'd been meaning to do it for ages due to the deteriorating value (higher price, fewer features), but recent poor service has tipped me over the edge. No point listing all the instances - they're mostly minor but do add up - but being turned away today from trying to pay cash into my account was the last straw. If you're not able to deposit cash, then what's the point of a local branch? Apparently handling cash is "too expensive, we wouldn't be able to keep the (city centre) branch open".
