Review of the London Capital Credit Union, Savings:

A real win for people and society

Although there's a low interest rate on savings the thought that it is helping others become financially sound makes it sweeter than the better rates elsewhere. At the end of the day, for most of us, the difference is only a few pence a month but if all toxic finance was eliminated, I'm sure society would be much healthier for all, so I am fine to forfeit the few pennies to take a step towards that. As an organisation, I've always found them responsive on the care occasions I've needed help and the app has been reliable. They've consistently tried to help me have better financial habits the whole time I've been with them, encouraging saving, including with a monthly prize draw account, and warning about toxic credit and loan companies. Allowed me to see where I truly was

I’m 25, and due to family issues, have been entangled in a web of disastrous consumer credit debt which took a massive hold on my mental health leading to not only becoming a complete different person I didn’t recognised but also a person I didn’t recognise who was in debt and no longer saw the joy in anything. I applied to the credit union many times, but when I actually sat down and took everything seriously, realised I needed to be organised and accurate, I eventually was able to get a loan that started the trend of saving. Essentially, the union helped me understand where I was, without all the emotions. At 25, it’s embarassing to be here, but they gave me a chance and took me out of a troublesome period of time when I needed it most and everyone else wrote me off. It isn’t life changing money, but it’s enough to start fresh, and build a savings pot. Let’s see where life takes me. Reviewed on: 25th May 2025

Great Union

Best choice in years

I used to be a rubbish saver and only able to save a little heat and there throughout my life. But since opening my account it’s helped me save continuously. Setting up your account is the easiest process I’ve had even compared to opening and bank account. I highly recommend Capital Credit Union. That you for changing my life for the better financially. A great way to Save

Credit union has always helped me both in my time of need as well as for non urgent requests. I like that upon taking loans or not, I get to save each month which is a great incentive and really good for those like myself who aren't great at saving. You can chose an amount over the recommended as long as it's affordable. With longterm saving you can eventually limit taking out too many loans. Reviewed on: 25th May 2025
