One of the worst and poor insurance company, I had faced very very bad experience I request you everyone go with any car insurance company apart from the Marshmallow insurance. One hell of a horror story: Marshmallow Car Insurance

This is one hell of a horror story with Marshmallow insurance This is one hell of a horror story We had an accident at the beginning of June, don't get me started on the 6 hours wait for the truck to pick our vehicle up, or the fact that I couldn't find the insurance as they're stupid enough not to have any words related to car insurance or your number plates sent to your emails for you to find them at the time of accident. These are minor issues. The horror started when we wanted our courtesy car. They said they can only give it to us when inspected by repair garage. They initially said the car is most likely written off. It took them 6 weeks to deliver it to repair/inspection garage, where they said it's been deemed repairable, and the garage said they've been instructured not to give us one, it took another 10 days to give us a courtesy car to sort out the confusion on Marshamllow's part. Then while using the car on a short trip, the repair company called to say they've been told the car is written off and needs to be returned within 48 hours otherwise else... HORRIBLE So we returned early and handed over the car. Now we need to contact them so they let our lease company about it to sort it out for us to stop paying insurance and lease fee of the car. 1 week has passed and they don't respond to anything This is CRIMINAL. 4 months and still not settled and charging me at the same time, asking for docs such as V5 which I don't have as it's a finance lease AVOID at any COST. Disgusting and absolutely unacceptable customer service! Purchased Marshmallow insurance ,provided all of the required proof of address and etc,had it for around two weeks. Through the live chat(as they don't even have a number where you can call) confirmed that everything is fine and my car is insured and I can drive now safely,charged me £349.06 for the first payment,and then sent me a text that I did not provide them proof of address (thanks god I made a screenshots confirming that I did it!) This company gave a time till midnight to provide them document and if not they will cancel my policy ,I spent whole day of my holiday to upload documents again and it was keep showing "upload failed",therefore I contacted live chat AGAIN and no one responded and assisted me ,they just cancelled my policy! Also tried to sent many emails with official complaint-no one cares! P.S they also did not bother to give me my money back ,but in the app it says they refunded part of it :) which is absolute lie ! 0 stars,worst experience ever!! Worse decision I have ever made

I got a good quote from them. They asked me for evidence to which I provided before my deadline ….. they did not respond until the day of the deadline which was asking for top up money and after that same hr they cancelled my insuarance. They say they accommodate every one but after you pay u can never get in touch with them. Reviewed on: 29th August 2024

This year just before my insurance premium renewal a claim was opened (strange coincidence...) claiming that I was involved in an accident in a part of the UK that I've never been... Cancelling insurances for fun

I'm a young driver, getting insurance quotes are already hard and pricey. they gave me an insurance and then cancelled it although I provided them with the evidence they've asked for. They did not give me a choice to appeal or replied to my emails on time, it was only after they cancelled it with a few hour notice. They don't have a phone line or an office address where you can visit, only live chat which they never responded to me on as well. Now my name is written off in the system as cancelled, I can't get any insurance anymore although I haven't done anything fraudulent. This is extremely damaging and distressful. I'm now reporting the company to the Financial Ombudsman. Because of their attitude and lack of response, it almost as if seems that they wanted to cancel me even though I have sent them valid evidence, I am reluctant to think this way normally but, I can now say that this also feels to be a racially motivated stance. Auto renewing and refunding partially after a long time

They auto renewed my insurance and would not provide me a contact number to call and cancel. They didnt send me any postal correspondance to inform me. They took out over 1000£ as premium from my bank account. Only chat facility available to corresspond which is slow. I cancelled the insurance over chat immediately (within cooling off period) but they still charged me £30 admin fee. They also gave me a huge bill for 2 days' insurance they charged pro-rata. Raised a complaint and they took months to respond. They didnt do anything. They took a long time refunding the money as well and still charged Admin fee (even though I was withing 7 day cooling off period). Thieves. Stay away from them Reviewed on: 14th August 2024
