No account manager and just waiting to add fees whenever they can. Multiple times get payments turned down because staff cannot read authorised persons forms. Bank is a joke Reviewed on: 29th November 2024

The worst bank for buiseness.

The worst bank for buiseness. I Applied for a buiseness overdraft which was excepted. They took out a £200 fee Then blocked my buiseness account. Now I can't pay the wages for any of my staff . I will sue as this now looks like I'm a bad payer and it affect my firm . Don't use this cowboy company . Reviewed on: 7th June 2024

Poor victim support

I lost 3k to this bank. They open accounts to fraudsters and don't pay stolen money back to victims. They refuse to discuss this with me even after my MP wrote to them. Reviewed on: 10th April 2023

Inexplicably bad service

I thought Metro were great until inexplicably they started to demand huge amounts of information about my company and personal background. I run a small marketing business (turnover approx £200k) but they acted like I was a multimillion corporate. I provided everything they wanted, which took my accountant and I several weeks to produce during the very busy post-Covid recovery period. But they kept coming back for more, asking so many ridiculous questions and eventually I had to say I was too busy and couldn't provide everything unless they gave a valid reason. Then suddenly, with warning, they gave notice to close our account in 60 days. We appealed to them to reconsider but they refused so we had to find other banking arrangements. Without notice or explanation froze my business account leaving me unable to pay suppliers or staff … days later I’m still waiting for a call from their head office ( who you can’t call !!) branch and customer service employees are useless say there’s nothing they can do I just have to wait to be contacted. In the meantime I can’t pay staff or suppliers and my business could collapse. Can’t believe they get away with this it’s unbelievable … even the financial ombudsman haven’t come back to me. My hands are tied. X the stress it’s causing is off the scale. Please do not use this bank. I also save with Nationwide and they are amazing but unfortunately don’t do business accounts. Εγκρίθηκα για δάνειο την εποχή του κορονοϊού στην πρώτη φάση μετά όμως αφου μου βγάλανε την ψυχή σε διάφορες διαδικασίες αλλά κυρίως σε ατέλειωτες ώρες αναμονής μου είπαν πως δεν θα πάρω ούτε τα μισά απο όσα είχαν εγκριθεί Εσεις νομίζεται πως μόνο ο δικός χρόνος είναι πολύτιμος κ ο δικός μας δεν αξίζει ούτε σεντ Είσαστε η χειρότερη τράπεζα που έχω γνωρίσει Reviewed on: 14th March 2023
