You have to fight for years to get a proper payout from them after 50 years of being a loyal customer. Dreadful company with even worse loss adjusters It’s a long fight to get a proper payout . Dreadful company with even worse loss adjusters. Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

worth paying for first rate service

Had to use the personal legal cover included within my NFU home insurance policy and it turned out that because I was with the NFU, the level of cover that was provided to me was much higher than other high street insurers. So glad we were covered by the NFU. Also you get to know your NFU adviser on first name terms and it has the personal touch rather than a large faceless online only business. Great personal service with all the trimmings

Had cause to use the personal legal insurance package that was part of the home insurance. Turned out that it was one of the highest levels of personal legal insurance that can be offered by an insurance company and came in very very useful for us, at no expense and without having to claim off the policy. Highly recommended in addition for the personal service where one local officer deals with you insurance case. Reviewed on: 15th August 2018

Discrimination @ Recent interview

A lot of companies in the UK promote multi-cultarism within there workplaces with an ethnic minority policy. I recently went to an interview in the Glasgow office, the feeling I got was I felt they never wanted me there. I believe I smashed and did really well in the role play and interview excercise at the interview When probing for feedback from the HR associate Stephanie Garcia (HR associate) in NFU Mutual, the feedback was inaccurate and full of lies. At the interview stage the guys spoke to me in an abrupt way whilst asking questions, no-one I met on the day were welcoming apart from one of the managers called Jan, never been treated like this at an interview I can sit here all day and prove myself but am better than that..... will look to further my career in a business which promotes equal opportunities for all and multi-cultarism and which hires candidates based on previous results and experience NFU Mutual has potentially lost someone which could have grown there business 5 fold with my industry contacts Reviewed on: 17th May 2018

This is a customer focussed insurance company. We had to make our first ever claim last summer, we could not believe how easy & simple the claim process was. Full payment came through really quickly in good time to pay the repair bills. Reviewed on: 31st December 2017

Our daughter insured her home and sole trading business with NFU. When she was sadly killed in a car crash (boy racer in a range rover hit her head on), NFU were just superb, helpful in every way and paid out quickly on all the items destroyed in the crash - she had a large tv in the boot of the car! Best insurance company!

I have my horse insured with NFU. Unfortunately and very suddenly my horse passed away. NFU handled everything without me having to do anything but ring up and give details! I was so impressed as I've never had to deal with something like this before. They payed out quickly and promotly! Would highly recommend! Reviewed on: 25th September 2017
