You have to fight for years to get a proper payout from them after 50 years of being a loyal customer. Dreadful company with even worse loss adjusters It’s a long fight to get a proper payout . Dreadful company with even worse loss adjusters. Reviewed on: 22nd August 2023

Home insurance as it should be.

After several years with another insurance company, never having made a claim and having our premiums rocket every year I shopped around and found NFU. Their quote was about half of what I had previously been paying and a friend recommended them. Over the four years that I have been with them they have only increased premiums by amounts that barely cover inflation and last year I actually had to make a claim. It was the first time in over 40 years of holding home insurance that I have had to make a claim, the claim amounted to £600. The claim process was so easy, no form filling, the agent in the local office handled it all for me and the pay out was very quick. Well done NFU, I'm a convert and will stay with you for many years. Recently my parents farm set on fire during the night a terrifying experience for the whole family. But the nfu have been great at coming first thing Monday morning assessing the damaging and taking a huge strain away from my dad ! Cannot thank them enough Reviewed on: 20th September 2018

worth paying for first rate service

Had to use the personal legal cover included within my NFU home insurance policy and it turned out that because I was with the NFU, the level of cover that was provided to me was much higher than other high street insurers. So glad we were covered by the NFU. Also you get to know your NFU adviser on first name terms and it has the personal touch rather than a large faceless online only business. Great personal service with all the trimmings

Had cause to use the personal legal insurance package that was part of the home insurance. Turned out that it was one of the highest levels of personal legal insurance that can be offered by an insurance company and came in very very useful for us, at no expense and without having to claim off the policy. Highly recommended in addition for the personal service where one local officer deals with you insurance case. Reviewed on: 15th August 2018

Discrimination @ Recent interview

A lot of companies in the UK promote multi-cultarism within there workplaces with an ethnic minority policy. I recently went to an interview in the Glasgow office, the feeling I got was I felt they never wanted me there. I believe I smashed and did really well in the role play and interview excercise at the interview When probing for feedback from the HR associate Stephanie Garcia (HR associate) in NFU Mutual, the feedback was inaccurate and full of lies. At the interview stage the guys spoke to me in an abrupt way whilst asking questions, no-one I met on the day were welcoming apart from one of the managers called Jan, never been treated like this at an interview I can sit here all day and prove myself but am better than that..... will look to further my career in a business which promotes equal opportunities for all and multi-cultarism and which hires candidates based on previous results and experience NFU Mutual has potentially lost someone which could have grown there business 5 fold with my industry contacts Reviewed on: 17th May 2018
