Review of the Pockit, Account:

They try to stop your access to your own money

1
I was using amazon website when I was offered free prepaid pockit car and a credit of £5. I applied online and next day I received card. I was impresses with their quick service. When I loaded balance of £200 and checked online account, balance was not shown. I called the customer service who asked me to wait for 3 days to transfer funds. Normally funds from one UK bank account to another are transferred straight away within no time. After 3 days when I called and told them that funds were not shown, they ask me to check again and after a little while funds were shown in my account. Next day when I used card ATM to change the PIN, I could change PIN successfully, which means card was active. When I tried to withdraw £10, it says not authorized. When I tried this card on different shops, transactions were declined. Again I called them and told them that funds are shown however I am unbale to spend. The agent says that card is active and we have not received any authorization so we can not help. On arguing and asking to transfer to supervisor they said that case was sent to IT support, please allow 2 working days. After two working days when I called them they said that nothing wrong with your card or account, keep on using card. I asked them how could I use the card when it is not authorized. When I spoke to supervisor they say that they will send me a replacement card. On receiving replacement card I activated it online. Went to ATM machine and changed the PIN number. It did'nt work again. Then I sent them a legal notice with copy form information to the financial ombudsman. Then they resolved the issue and I was able to withdraw fund from the account It is therefore advised to keep people away from this card. They try to keep you away from ypur money and makes different lame excuses as delaying tactics. Not all people make complaint to ombudsman or court. Therefore they take those people money awa! My Pockit Account has been on review for a week

1
I have been a Pockit customer since June 2024 and my experience has been absolutely terrible. To maintain the account, you need to pay a monthly fee. you also need to pay a fee to transfer money and withdraw your own money, which I understand, as it is a business. As I knew I was going to use this as my main bank account, I opted to go for the best account, which offers me credit, income advance and also boost my credit score. Given that I already pay so much to just simply use the account, as a customer I expect good customer service from a bank as you are handling financial matters. I have been receiving my monthly salary, I have been paying bills, subscriptions, direct debits and my day-to-day spending habits. So I have pretty much used this bank as my main account. As recent as Wednesday 19th March 2025, my account was restricted due to being on review. I have already cooperated, by sending my details my personal information forms of ID and verification to get this resolved. I also emailed them and followed it up with a follow email. Today it is now Thursday 27th March, I have still been unable to access my account, I am unable to withdraw or transfer my own money. This is very inconvenient as my monthly salary is approaching, I haven’t recieved no response from Pockit, regarding my account or review. There is no contact number or method of contact apart from email. As a customer, this is a headache trying to chase a “bank”, regarding their services. In my honest opinion, I wouldn’t want anyone to go through my current situation as a bank is meant to help customers manage their money but it just feels like a great burden banking with Pockit. I honestly wouldn’t recommend Pockit bank to a stranger let alone, friends and family. Once, I receive the outcome of the account review I will be closing the account. For the amount I am paying to use the account, I should at least be receiving basic communication or something. I now feel like I simply cannot trust this bank to hold my funds. Pockit is not covered by FSCS Protection, so they were to go bankrupt you could essentially lose your money. Banking with Pockit at your own risk, however, you have been advised by a current customer that this bank is not trustworthy. Reviewed on: 27th March 2025

one of the WORST BANKS

1
This is one of the WORST BANKS iv banked with, DO NOT use this bank. when it comes to customer care and fraud they do not care about their customers. I have provided them with clear evidence that I’ve been scammed with more than enough evidence to prove the scammer is taking money from innocent people, myself included and Pockit would not support me at all to return the stolen funds and now left me with no money in my bank when they definitely have the means to refund me with their payment provider. I do not recommend anyone banks with this company. Now I have to take my case to the financial ombudsman Reviewed on: 19th March 2025

PLEASE AVOID POCKIT!

1
I opened a pockit account as there are no banks left where I live, and it seemed easy to go to the post office to a pay point to deposit any cash into an account. I only really use the account for small cash deposits and so my parents can transfer money to me to help with food and bills, as I’m a single mum. On Sunday 1st September, my dad put £300 into my pockit account and when I went to transfer the money, a notice came up that my account was under review and I couldn’t access my money and my card is on hold. They requested various documents and information, which I immediately sent to them, and they said it would probably take 2-4 days to complete the review. I had no warning about this. I understand that some monitoring of accounts like this need to take place, but why can I not access the money first. I have emailed repeatedly and tried to find a phone number for them, with no joy. The only response to my emails are automated, and one saying that my money is safe! I have no money now, and no food! There is no other way to contact them. Their customer service is appalling and to only have an email address as a point of contact is ridiculous. I have no access to my money and no end in sight. There is a phone number on the back of my card, which doesn’t work. You are totally at their mercy. DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT WITH THIS COMPANY! Reviewed on: 7th September 2024
