Zero online information hard to pay back early

The reason they have low rates is the service is terrible. You get one letter at the start at that is it if you need help you need to call up wait 20 minutes then they will maybe assist you. All other financial companies have information online and by phone to make it easier for the customer bit not the post offoce Reviewed on: 9th August 2022

Avoid as service is a joke

Concur with previous reviews to avoid. My application was declined even with a perfect credit score and a 9.9/10 chance of success when the loan was applied for, very poor communications as my email address did not work for them during the application but did work when I made my complaint, took 5 days for agreement to be delivered, ironically via the post! Call centre did not know their own process. AVIOD AVOID. Reviewed on: 5th July 2022

Complete waste of time- STAY AWAY FROM THESE

I completed a loan application which received an immediate response approved. I then waited days for a paper agreement to come through the post which I signed, then uploaded on a Thursday, which was not reviewed until the Monday, to then find out the loan now needed to be sent to the underwriters, which could be another few days before you here as formally the loan was not really approved. This had taken 8 days with no definite answer. I then gave up cancelled the agreement and went to my bank that agreed the loan and the money was in the bank within 4 hours. Their website is misleading as it states the money will be paid the next day, which is utter rubbish. If you are looking for a loan I would suggest looking at banks or building societies. one other thing the rate they agree up front changes from the a good rate to not so good. They are a broker NOT the lender! AVOID

They approve your loan, you sign the agreement, and then they’re underwriters decide to decline! Pathetic. Waste of time and damage to my credit score. Reviewed on: 26th May 2022

NOT DESERVING OF ONE STAR

What a shambolic organisation. Filled in the online form a week later the initial paperwork arrived....requesting the normal history - address, two months of bank statements etc which need to be uploaded through their Portal except you can only upload five documents a day...!!! Gave up spent nearly £20 at the Post Office having documents verified and sending next day recorded delivery. One week later still nothing. They can't possibly tell me when they may reach their decision - perhaps next year....DO NOT TOUCH WITH A BARGEPOLE Reviewed on: 17th May 2022

Ridiculous

I have an excellent credit rating and when i was applying for the load it said i could a low APR rate, however they put the money in my account and then I received a letter back saying my APR was 7.9%. Needless to say I called them to return the money straight away as that was daylight robbery. I now have got the loan from another organisation for same amount and term at an APR of 2.9%. Sceptical after reading reviews

I went onto a comparison site and applied for the post office as i believed them to be reputable and it seemed very straight forward. I signed my agreement and was told to sit back. after this i decided to check the reviews and I was immediately filled with dread and continued to wait. after a bank holiday weekend ( so essentially 2 working days) I received a text saying final checks were being made and that evening the money was in my bank. It was a waste of time

You really need to improve your service, it socks. Maybe your should learn from standard Finance Corporation, Mrs Roselia Jaquez the Loan Dispatch Lady, was the best when it comes to Explaining the Loan Process. Imagine Getting a loan of $250,000.00 With 48hours. Now i understand the saying, "Money Makes Money". A very good value loan.

The loan I took was at a very competitive interest rate and was very quick and easy to arrange. If I was to need another personal loan,I would definitely consider looking at the Post Office as one of my preferred loan providers. Reviewed on: 24th March 2022
