Review of the Post Office, Credit Card:

Useless, unhelpful, inept and rude

1
Well, these cards are now provided by Bank of Ireland (another useless credit card company). I fully paid off my card, and then cancelled it. However, the operative I spoke with to cancel the card, didn't, and A YEAR LATER an automatic payment which I forgot about (now I take the blame for that) was taken off the card. I had moved house 3 times by this point (4 years later) so none of the letters came through to me. PO and BoI did nothing to help me, just wrote back saying they were every so sorry, and hope that I'm not upset by how it has worked out. BUT THEN they instantly sold this debt to another debt collection agency. Agressive greedy buggers, stay away from post office cc and from bank of ireland Reviewed on: 6th August 2020

Poor customer service and difficult complaints procedure

1
Card is ok if you want to avoid foreign transaction charges. Major issue if you have a problem. Whilst the customer service folks are polite enough, they just really stick with their scripts. I have a dispute on a transaction and the procedure is painful. My advice, pay the foreign exchange fee and get decent service if there is a problem as I have never had issues with other providers as I have with this one. Reviewed on: 5th August 2017

Credit Card Dispute

1
If you intend to use when abroad - 100% recommend If you require customer service - it's non existent. I paid a substantial deposit for a new kitchen fitting - the Company has gone bust - 5 phone calls each in excess of 35 minutes 1 letter mailed over 2 weeks ago no progress . Cannot speak to anyone, email anyone - it is a joke, how this bank is allowed to operate in this manner is beyond me AVOID AT ALL COSTS if you are likely to need any customer service How this bank is allowed to operate in this manner is beyond me Reviewed on: 24th July 2017

Great for travel.

Applied for this card for trips abroad as the deal and ease of use seemed so easy. Haven't been disappointed! Reviewed on: 29th June 2017

Abysmal customer service and jigerry pokery

1
This card may be useful in certain circumstances, but when a problem arises and you need to contact customer services it is painful and distressing. They are very curt and dismissive in their answers and the impression left is very unfavourable.I would not recommend anyone to use a post office credit card, and if you have one pay off whatever you owe on it then introduce to a sharp pair of scissors.I give it one star because without that input I can,t submit this review. Appalling customer service

1
Customer service centre is unwilling to help with queries. They just read from a script and won't give a straight answer to a question. I have a good income, no debts, pay off my card in full every month but can't get a small increase to my limit for a one-off purchase. Apparently I'm not eligible for an increase because there are 'no offers on' but they won't tell me why I'm not eligible. Reviewed on: 13th June 2017

post office credit card

5
Very clear, concise and forthcoming in saying what's on offer. Never had issues and feel like I'm a valued customer Reviewed on: 8th June 2017

Great for travelling

4
We got the post office credit card specifically for holiday. It gave 3 month 0% on purchases and no fee for using abroad. Just make sure you pay it off before the initial rates go up Reviewed on: 30th May 2017

Great rate credit card

4
Great rates, easy to use, good customer service. The app could be improved with a few extra features but overall a good choice Reviewed on: 30th May 2017

Rubbish customer service

1
The customer service is shocking - the automated system very difficult to use. Unfriendly call Centre staff - too many processes and they cannot help at all Reviewed on: 24th May 2017
